what a pos teaser trailer. As for the movie, I hope it turns out good. Since I never played the game I dunno what to really expect.
OMGZ OMGZ OMGZ!!!! Fuck yes!!!! I've been waiting for a taste for sooo long. They kept the music, which is 50% of what makes Silent Hill soooo damn scary. Can't wait!
Maybe that teaser is a premonition of me walking out of the movie early and exiting to the parking lot via the stairwell?
oooh, that was phat! Sure it wasn't a fan made trailer? I honestly didn't think they were gonna use the SH game score...even for the teaser.
Shift, I think that if you'd have played the game you'd have enjoyed the trailer more. Personally, I think it's a great teaser trailer. As was already mention, they kept the music and that's a big plus. The grainy look was also very important, and it looks as though they left that in too. So far so good.
I can't wait for that movie, but the teaser was only teasing indeed... Anyone knows if Pyramid Head will be in this, even if it's SH2? I've never played SH1...
Yes Pyramid Head is in the movie. They've mergered actually the first three games to make up the story line for the movie. It's mostly based off of SH1, with elements of 2 and 3 thrown in to complete the story line (seeing as SH1, 2, and 3 are connected). Damn rights they are! The same composer from all the games is doing the movie! Woot!
For real? Now THAT'S sweet! And after reading comments by the director trying to stay as true to the games as possible, this could very well be THEE best video game movie ever.
And considereing in one interview, he was asked if there have been any good video game movies made. And he replied, "No."
I really liked that teaser and I can't wait for the movie. I wonder if that gritty look will be predominant in the movie. I think that it will be used only when the world turns into the "otherworld," which would make sense. The music was great, too. I think that it will translate to film very well.
Yea, it does seem fan made, but it was effective for what it was. I'm hoping this movie is what I want it to be. If it gets an R, I'll be happy. I need massive quantities of blood.
If memory serves, the "otherworld" looked more Hellish in the game though. The gritty, snowy look was the "normal world" throughout the game. A film adaptation of this game that doesn't completely suck would be a nice start for me. dmeister
It will be R, that's what Gans has said. But for the blood, its not gonna be in massive quantities, as stated in a bunch of interviews. The game itself isn't very bloody anyway. Sure, there are a lot of monsters in it, cause it is a game, there has to be. Here, read this: http://www.livejournal.com/community/silenthill/638253.html#cutid1
I just found out that, the teaser trailer isn't actually a teaser trailer. It's actually the flash intro for the site. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/silenthill/site/shell.html
I hope they use that music from the end of the first game, that spaghetti western sounding one. Very catchy.
Okay, so maybe the movie won't suck as much as I had initially suspected. It sounds like Gans has at least played the freakin' thing. dmeister
