When they said the quality sucks on that clip, they were not kidding. Looks like someone whipped out their phone during a test screening. Too bad they were sitting behind octopus-head. That looked very faithful to the game though. Looking forward to this one unless it gets dumbed down to PG-13.
Ya, I noticed that too in the trailer. Though in the trailer, there is one part where the father is looking for them, but it doesn't look like he is in that town. Hmm... still excited for this.
They definately did know that. Christopher Gans mentions why they changed it in an interview I read, but I can't remember the reasons as it was 6 months ago I read the thing.
Its funny, the 'official' poster you actually see in theaters of the girl with no mouth is a total piece of sh*t. But these other ones are totally awsome. I wish the pyramid head one was the official one.
A new TV spot is up, and can be viewed here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PRCif9PUIQA and it features some new Pyramid Head footage! Also, the movie has officially been rated R for "Strong Horror Violence and Gore, Disturbing Images and Some Language"! That is definately good news, and news I've been waiting to hear!
14-minute making-of online! http://media.putfile.com/On-The-Set-Of-Silent-Hill The good thing about it, it's basically spoiler-free and contains some new footage (including some sweet Pyramid Head stuff). Only 9 more days!!!! YAY! So excited!
Alright... This looks promising. It comes to the netherlands the end of may.... Just a little more of a wait
Damn, seeing that behind-the-scenes footage has turned my anticipation for the movie up to 11! *plays air guitar*
Well, the trailer never really did anything for me, but that making of kinda made me interested. So I'll see it. EDIT: And Ebert's review pretty much validated my fears - that it would have a nonsensical plot. Still, I don't always see eye to eye with Ebert. I'm still going to see it.
New review. This sounds very promising. I rarely go to the theater to see a film, but this looks like one I'll be dragging the wife to see tonight! http://www.horrorchannel.com/index.php?name=Reviews&req=showcontent&id=902
I was looking at Radha Mitchell's filmography over at IMDb and, man, I'm willing to bet that she'll become the next Naomie Watts! Just look at the films she's done since Pitch Black: Phone Booth, Man on Fire, Finding Neverland, Melinda & Melinda, Silent Hill ... However, her 2006 projects is a giant-man-eating-crocodile movie ... I hope she becomes a star. She was magnificent in Melinda & Melinda!
Wow! Thanks for posting that review, SaviniFan. Now, I gotta see it. Can't wait to read everyone's reviews.
