    PUUUUUUUNIIIIIIIISHHHHHHHH!

I been wanting to catch The Aggression Scale for some time now...looks pretty good.

I'm not "big" on remakes, but this one has some interesting driving forces behind it. This one could have potential.

Is this a belated April Fool's joke, I hope. I don't know, even though Malcolm McDowell is in it, I wish Hollywood would quit remaking movies.

If it does mean a possible blu-ray release of the uncut original, I'm all for it.

At least they won't share the same name and it's a going be loosely based on the original.

I wasn't all for it at first. But than I saw "The Aggression Scale" and loved it. So I'm now all for this. Especially since it's a loose remake.

The Blu-ray & DVD are both up for pre-order at Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/Silent-Night-Blu-ray/dp/B009IV2ZCI/
    http://www.amazon.com/Silent-Night/dp/B009IV2Z7S/

    They're also "re-releasing" the original 1 & 2 on DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Silent-Night-Deadly/dp/B009IV2Z3M/

...of course no Blu-ray for the original film, but that's typical of Anchor Bay. :eek2:

Now this is how they should be doing remakes. Remaking the movies that sucked in the first place. This could actually end up being really good.

I wonder if Anchor Bay has an HD master for SNDN and SNDN2. If not, my guess is that creating a new transfer might be more work than they were willing to put into the film. IIRC, the transfer used for the previous DVD releases of SNDN was composited from two sources with most of the gore coming from a VHS master.

I would imagine they have an HD master for part 2, as that one looked pretty good on DVD. However, that movie wouldn't warrant it's own blu-ray release. Then again, Troll 2 is on blu-ray and the film has a similar cult following, so who knows?
