A list of slasher films set in a theatre! I was watching Nightmares AKA Stage Fright (1980) and was thinking this reminds me of, well, Stagefright (soavi), then it reminded me of Opera. Are there any other Theatre themed slasher flicks than these?

    Nightmares AKA Stage Fright (1980)

Stagefright AKA Deliria AKA Bloody Bird (1987)

Opera AKA Terror at the Opera (1987)

    Popcorn (1989)

The intro to He Knows You're Alone takes place in a theater-very effective-I think they used this same ploy in one of the Scream trilogy films.

I think The Clown At Midnight is one.

"Anguish" from 1987 always creeped me the hell out.

Yes, I was going to mention Anguish as well. Great one! Of course, that one and Demons are more movie theaters than theatres but hey... :D

The narrative scenes in "Terror In The Aisles" take place in a movie theater. That counts, right? I'd love this movie on DVD although I doubt that will ever happen.

Scream II is the one you're thinking of, Anthro. It was parodied in Scary Movie quite brilliantly.

Popcorn is a personal favorite. Other than that, I'm not too keen on uber-obscure slashers.

I mayber wrong, but isn't the movie "Demons" take place in a theater? It's been awhile since I've seen the film. I remember a scene where a demon bust through a persons back. If I'm wrong, please tell me and let me know of the film I'm thinking of

Ruby is set in an outdoor theater.

And while the original The Blob isn't set in a movie theater, it has a cool scene in one. :)

    Theater of Blood

The first one I reviewed here:
    http://www.horrordvds.com/reviews/n-z/tod/

It's kind of a slasher...a mystery film, really. Really nice atmosphere.

Theater of Blood is the Vincent Price film, where he goes around killing movie critics with the murders all inspired by Shakespeare plays. Good stuff
