Anyone ever see this shot on video slasher? Just checked it out today - pretty damn good. Really atmospheric with lots of impressionist slow motion during many of the deaths. The killer has one of those really creepy see through masks as well. While I thought stuff like Boardinghouse just sort of abused whatever video filter it could use, the effects here really fit and give the film a fitting and distinctive originality. Some good gore too. This is an example of how video can actually help the impact of a film. Definitely a lot better than I was expecting.

Haven't seen this one before, but it sounds interesting, I'll have to try and find a copy of it. I still have to see Boardinghouse too. The list of stuff I need to see continues to grow :(

I've seen this once but can't remember anything about it. Time to refresh my memory and to track this down.

Looks really cool. I'd watch it if it were put on DVD.

    LOL!!!

I liked this one myself. I consider it to be a guilty pleasure. The box art is so cheesy! I love it. POP Cinema should consider releasing this one on DVD as a part of their Camp Motion Pictures Retro '80s Horror Collection line.

I actually have an extra VHS copy of this if someone wants to buy it off me. Was gonna put it on eBay, but I'll let you all have first crack at it.

    PM back at ya.

  11. I got this on dvd-r. Great flick. And I got in touch with the director who sent me an autograph made out to me. He said he doesn't really remember much about the movie except that he just basically used it as an experiment in learning how to make movies. He does not know what anyone in the cast is doing now except for his brother.

And some stuff was shot in his brother's apartment. And he was surprised there was any interest in this movie. He also said that the producer Nicholas Imaz owns the rights since he put up funding for the movie, so if anyone's interested in a dvd release, that's the guy to contact.

Great info man, thanks. He made a fine flick, it's really resonated with me. How did you get in contact with him?

It would be interesting to see what the original negative looks like, because the production quality is pretty sub par. The frame is not centered properly in a few scenes - either comes in from the left (the sex scene) or comes up from the bottom (towards the end of the flick). Also when the girls are cleaning themselves after the food fight there's all kinds of "wiggling". I know it's not just my tape because I have two copies and they are the exact same :)

This is one slasher I've never heard of. I'll have to pick it up when it's released in May. Sounds/looks good.

Wow, that's awesome someone is releasing this. Never thought it would happen. Pretty good for a SOV, and if you like Blood Lake you'll love this.

I dunno about this company though. Could we be getting a VHS rips? I hope it's not though because the VHS is pretty muddy. Do we know the source yet?

This is one of those movies that I never got to pick up on VHS so I'll be getting this. Despite this I find this announcement quite disappointing considering the fact that their other 2 releases were Franco movies as I was hoping for more of the same. :/

I actually know the guy, Clint Kelly, who tracked down the director and actually bought the rights to the film. He paid to have it remastered himself from the original tapes and sold it to Intervision. He had some pretty cool stories about meeting the director. Me, him, and another local director, Chris LaMartina sat down and watched it. I couldn't get into it, but Clint totally has a lot of love for it, obviously.

I used to have this on VHS, picked it up from an old mom-and-pop store before it went out of business. I'll easily pick this up on DVD!

Now if anyone can get a hold of Wally Koz and release 555.

I've never seen this on vhs or laserdisc back in the 80s.
