LOL. Yeah it's fully uncut.
Under 20 with shipping!
If you saw it as recent as 2004 and it didn't click with you, it may not upon another viewing. It IS a fairly slow film and I totally get why it's not everyone's cup of tea. Shout's Blu is the real deal though and should be a staple in anyone's collection.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with Future-Kill when I finally saw it but I still felt compelled to have it on my shelf. DAT GIGER ARTWORK!
Looks like my copy of Sleepaway Camp is out for delivery and should be delivered today. Excellent.
Watched Evilspeak last night and enjoyed it a bit more this time around, mainly because it was uncut. The print looked pretty nice too.
Evil Speak blu ray verdict
I received Sleepaway Camp earlier today... although the exclusive poster did arrive a little bent.
Great transfer though!
Got mine today too. Popped it in for a few scenes. Wow. Just wow
Right? Except for that one shot being too bright and some compression artifacts in some scenes. But the difference between the Anchor Bay DVD and the new blu-ray is night and day.
Man I love this movie. I've watched the blu-ray twice already.
could never get into camp, sounds like its a real treat for fans on this new blu too.
Can't wait for mine to arrive looking forward to it.
And on the too bright scene, I think most people notice just from the outline it isn't who the end shows as the murderer , even if it was dark.
It's gonna be real hard to wait till July 4th weekend to watch Sleepaway Camp in its entirety, but I'm a man of tradition...
Have you (or anybody else for that matter) had a chance to check out the BFI release yet? I'm watching it now, and it's beautiful. I watched the first 5 minutes of my dvd before I put it on, for perspective, and the difference is jaw dropping. The colours (and colour timing) are amazingly improved, and there's texture all over the place. a few shots looked a little fuzzy towards the beginning, mostly exteriors in the town, but close ups and interiors look stunning. It's much darker than the dvd, too, and that makes a huge difference - so much more atmosphere, especially during the credits sequence with all the mummified corpses. The audio sounds great, too.
I don't know what the Scream Factory disc is actually like in person, but I couldn't be happier with the BFI release.
I received the SteelBook yesterday, but the box unfortunately arrived damaged...and the back cover was mangled and ripped. Amazon UK is rushing me a replacement though, which should arrive in just a few days.
Do you ever have issues in getting your AmazonUK items? Every single time, without fail, I have to contact them about a month after it was estimated to arrive and tell them that my movie(s) did not show up. Then they re-send them and I get them within a week.
That's the USPS for sure. I only ever get damaged items from the states. Never had a problem with amazon UK, amazon japan, Germany. Yet, I've had 2 packages this year go missing from amazon.com. Mind you they replaced them but wtf. I bought a blu-ray off ebay a few months ago, also damaged. I'm almost certain it's the USPS.

Yep, quite often. I've had some Amazon UK packages take up to 2 months to arrive, and others I've received within a few days.
The USPS generally sucks. But then again, UPS did lose a package of mine a few months ago... :nervous:
I have never had a problem with amazon uk, they always arrive quiker than Amazon in the USa despite being further away.
