Enjoyed the hell out of this film. Not much else to say!
DVDActive just posted information on the DVD and cover art here. I will be getting it that's for sure, but I did kind of think we would at least get one limited edition with crazy packaging release, but maybe they are saving that for the double dip.
This is a must buy for me as well. Like everyone on dvdactive, I'm crossing my fingers for a Sam Jackson commentary. I'm sure the music vid will be that Cobra Starship tune getting stuck in my head again, oh shit, it's already there.
"Yeah I'm ready for it, com'on bring it"
I wonder if any store will get exclusive "snake-skin" O-cards.
Ask and you shall receive...
This is now a day of must buy!
I'll have to scan the ads to see if there's any bonus discs or snakeskin O-cards anywhere.
Definitely want the DVD, but I'm going to wait for the used market on this one. I bet a lot of them will show up cheap!
for those picking this up, you may want to go to circuit city as it comes with a bonus disc featuring more "extras" relating to the film. (only $14.99 too)
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be flying home the 2nd, so hopefully there's some bonus discs left Wendsday as I doubt I'll make it there Tues.
If I had realized the release of this, I would've scheduled my trip around it.
Bunnies and Snakes
This film is so awesome.
Got this for $1.99 a couple of weeks ago. It's not bad. It's definitely some fun and not to be taken seriously. I don't know, it's not as good as I wanted it but it's not as terrible as I thought it could've been. Guess I'm riding the fence on this one.
Good for you, DrHerbertWest. I too put off getting this one. Despite a lot of praise, the basic premise just sounds too daft, and not something to really grab me. I still have yet to get it, and let's be honest, it's not looking as though I ever will. You can grab it cheap though, and $2 seems like a price I'd be willing to pay if I could find it in a 50% off sale and I had a 25% discount coupon.
Weird how constant praise for some films can just put you right off the thing, huh?
^ It's on TV enough, why pay anything?
I had my doubts going in to see it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well they did it. Is it cliche ridden? Of course, but then anyone coming in to see Snakes on a Plane shouldn't expect anything less. If you want to see snakes on a plane I couldn't think of a better movie I could possibly recommend.
True. It's fun for what it is, a well-made B-movie. Worked better for me than Flight Of The Living Dead ...
I don't think it's been on TV over here yet. But then I don't watch a whole lot of TV. I think I've got it down to maybe two hours a week now.
I enjoyed it a lot when I saw it at the cinema, but haven't really felt any need to buy it. Or indeed see it again. But it was fun. Worth seeing at the very least.
