Soavi's art reference in The Church

    Recently I discovered that Michele Soavi has been influenced by Peruvian artist Boris Vallejo in his film The Church/ La Chiesa (Demons 3).
    The image of a Demon embracing a naked girl comes straight from a Vallejo painting:

    Actually I found out after seeing the new Satan's Baby Doll DVD cover (Shameless):

    And though probably people already knew this, I didn't, and think it's very cool.

    that's a great painting. i was aware of it, but thank you for posting such a great image of it! its always nice to see.

    Boris makes it look so much better. Soavi usually has a good art look in his films.
