Snappers. Mainly because the cardboard corners can get worn and make the case look crappy. Also if you buy used DVDs, you have to be veeeeery careful taking the price tag off.

I hate several of the choices above, especially the Fox DVD ads, the cardboard snappers, and the Warner and New Line cinema menus. But I had to vote for the Buena Vista forced trailers. By the way, I think they were the most forced on Disney DVD's. And they put the most ads on those discs. You couldn't press MENU or anything. You had to press the Skip button. 7-8-9-10 times. And wait. And my DVD player is slower than most. After you click a button, you have to wait even longer than on most other players.

And I don't count Flipper Discs as being from the old days of DVD. They continued to use those on MGM well into 2003, Fox into 2004, and Anchor Bay/Starz... into 2007.

Apparently I haven't watched the Abyss since I got my widescreen TV. It's not anamorphic? Blah! I'm gonna have to look at that when I get home tonight.

what about those idiots who would only buy Pan and scan DVD's. At least you can zoom in on non-anamorphic transfers. I remember my GF cousin asking me if I could find them a full screen DVD of Jaws.
