Still does not answer discrepancy in running time but good to know.
Are those scenes being edited with added footage or removed footage? If the latter then I just can't understand why they would do that.
Hopefully we get as originally advertised Road show edition, but as I said earlier, there is a discrepancy with running times, hopefully some clear information will be forthcoming.
I'm assuming this Roadshow edition is just Village Roadshow Films
and has nothing to do with a different cut of the film.
I don't think it is, Adam Green did mention the home release may be shortened compared to the roadshow edition, this was the version showing in it theatrical tour, the first view of the blu ray sleeve mentioned roadshow edition, that sleeve now seems to have been removed.
I'd think 83 minutes is the correct runtime, as it felt like a really short movie. If the two scenes are cut, it certainly wouldn't amount to 10 minutes (maybe a minute, tops), but I'd imagine they're still in there.
I'm guessing the blu-ray disc will be the same for both versions, the only difference being the inclusion of the DVD.
It all just sounds odd. He's not helping sales by saying it could be shortened. That's for sure.
Totally agree, and changes to the sleeve does not help, it's pretty piss poor to be honest.
According to Adam Green on his podcast, all home video versions of Victor Crowley will include the same cut of the movie: the same one from the theatrical tour. In other words, uncut.
Cool news hope Walmart will carry the DVD since I have the other 3 Hatchet films on DVD still!
Fantastic news, excited again!
Great news indeed. I feel very lucky to have had the pleasure of seeing this on the big screen. I cannot recommend this flick enough. It honestly might be the best in the series.
The book signing scene cracks me up to tears every time I think about it.
I can't wait, it's my most anticipated movie.
There's a new trailer out there. It's a bit spoiler heavy, so I'm not going to post it here (it's on YouTube if you really need to seek it out). With less than a month to go, I'd highly recommend just waiting and going into the movie blind. But for news sake, just thought I'd mention it.
Thanks for the heads up, I'm not going to spoil my experience, I'm staying well away!
Amazon has two listings for the blu.
$21.87 (Just the Blu-ray)
$11.99 (Blu-ray and DVD)
$11.99 is a really nice price, wouldn't you say?
That's a great price. I'll have to order it now. Thanks!
Well this was a major disappointment.
After a promising opening scene, it takes about 40 minutes, for Crowley to arrive, but at only 83 minutes (including 5 minutes of credits), that is way too late.
Most of the running time is wasted on the annoying main characters,
stuck in a plane
Crowley has so little on screen time, it almost felt like a cameo, and the climax was a huge letdown as well
The gore was pretty good, but I felt like there was more impressive kills in the first three.
Got a few laughs out of it, but many of the jokes fell flat for me.
Damn, that sucks to hear
