    What the hell?!

How didin't I know about this one?
Watched the pilot last night, and it fucking great!

Way darker and gorier that I expected.
The mix of practical and digital effects are great as well.
There was a "The Thing" style, monster scene in there, that looked amazing.
I wish THESE guys had made the effects for the Thing prequel.

I expected a typical campy DC super hero show, and got full on horror instead :D
It's produced by James Wan, and it looks and feels like a theatrical production.

    Where is this even airing?

I had watched Riverdale, but I recently started Arrow on NetFlix. I'm kind of loving this TV DC Universe! I'd be game to check this out, if only I knew how.

    I found a torrent.
It's made for the "DC Universe" streaming service.
But I guess it will show up on other services, like Netflix, in other regions around the world.

I hope they release it on Blu-Ray in the future.

It was cancelled before the first episode even aired.

They filmed in Wilmington, NC on an $80 million budget with $40 million in tax rebates. Due to an accounting error, the actual tax rebate was $14 million.

That accounting error was proven to be false. Check the swampthingtv subreddit for details. Seems mostly it was just execs not liking the show and it being expensive.

Yeah they did cancel it before it aired and it seems really unfortunate as I've been hearing good things about the first episode and the trailer looked really cool. WB loves to fuck with things though.

    What the fuck
    The pilot was awesome.

If the season ends with a damn cliffhanger,
I’m going over to the WB office to punch some people :D

Cliffhanger is unlikely given they axed three episodes.

Damn! I thought this looked really good and was hoping it would be a hit resulting in a re-release of Shout's 3rd set of the original TV show that I missed out on!

Just saw that little clip and some of the images were giving me flashbacks to the early 80s story arcs (the alan moore run). When my mom would go shopping once a month, I would run to the Rite Aid comics section next door and read it discreetly while she shopped as I couldnt afford comics. Thirty years later I still remember those stories.

Funny, I just saw commercials for it two nights ago and then read tonight that it was already canceled. I usually at least get to SEE a new show before they junk it.

I was just going to get the Blu-ray on sale during the holidays anyway. But I've never seen a show cancelled so fast before. And this was a show that looked good and people were expecting too.

Ep two was great. What a shame. Wonder if they botched the conclusion due to cutting three eps...

I wouldn't be surprised. It seems like every show that gets cancelled early either ends on a cliffhanger or a sloppy, thrown together ending because the writers didn't expect to end at that time.
