LOL... I had a package this month which shipped from Georgia, went to Missouri (right near me) and sat there for 11 days with no update before suddenly showing up in Albuquerque, NM 11 days later. It then went north to Denver, CO and is now supposedly on its way back to MO to be delivered. It's going to make a round trip around the country soon!

I'm especially glad Suspiria is out of their way now. I'm sure a lot of things got put on the back burner to get this out the door by the end of the year.

Keen to see the Herman Cohen titles like Headless Ghost and Horrors of the Black Museum.

I got around to watching the synapse blu ray tonight - all I can say is wow wow wow! I haven't watched this movie in a few years just waiting for a proper blu ray release and I was not disappointed. I fell in love with this movie and Argento when I first saw this on vhs - and this was like seeing it for the first time. Synapse nailed it and the steelbook was worth every penny. Kudos to synapse on this release! This is just a spectacle to watch - what an amazing visual experience and to this day the soundtrack is my favorite of any movie.

When you factor in the amount of time and work that went into the restoration, it's not too crazy and actually quite reasonable.

It'll probably be closer to $20 - $25, especially if you use sites that aren't Amazon. The wait was much shorter than anticipated! Glad I held out and saved $40!

This is the bottom line. Once you experience this transfer, you'll realize where the money went. I am generally against the Synapse model--but this was a special title that demanded the most careful handling. Don delivered, and I'm happy to have done my little part to subsidize the enormous expense and effort that must have been expended.

Wow that was fast. Must have done brisk business on the Steelbooks. Kinda makes me hopeful of a UHD sooner rather than later. But the Special Edition of Suspiria will only be $3.95 more? Once you start applying discounts the differences are even less. I don't even know why they'd bother with the extra inventory.

I'm curious to see Path of Blood. I have a soft spot for stop motion animation.

It sold out pretty damn quick. Any they always said when the Steelbook sold out, the standard editions would be coming.

Down the line, I might pick up the standard editions of all of these and sell my steelbooks. I kinda like that those have the original box art. It's just a shame that the standard Demons and Demons 2 blus lack most of the features.
