LMAO. Reason why I've only been in there at times when I actually needed to buy something!
I'd only ever been to the one on Queen St., years ago, before it burned down, so I can't be sure, but are you confusing it with Sonic Boom? Or are there two video stores attached to Honest Eds?
I'm not sure, I'm not from Toronto but I visit frequently. According Google Maps Suspect video is in fact attached to Honest Ed's.
While we're on the topic of Toronto, I went to the Cronenburg exhibit when I was there which was amazing. I also went to see Evil Dead the Musical which was awesome too. There's so much good horror related stuff to do. I want to go to Toronto After Dark this year, is it tough to get tickets?
I went a few years ago, and it wasn't very hard. Certainly not like TIFF or anything like that. If you pay attention to the date when tickets are supposed to go on sale, you should be able to get tickets to everything you want to see. Unless it's changed a lot in the last few years...
Both suspect and sonic boom are attached to Honest Ed's. They're just on different sides.
I'll have to check that out next time I'm downtown.
Sonic Boom is on the Bathurst side and Suspect is on the Markham side. I hope they both relocate, they're Toronto legends.
yeah, sonic boom is great. some of their stuff can be a little on the pricey side, but their selection is incredible.
Anyone who ordered from Amazon, has your item shipped yet? Status on mine still shows Pre-ordered. Grrr.....
Honestly, I see Sonic Boom moving once that building gets demo'd. Suspect? Well, people's viewing habits have changed and based on him not moving his Queen Street location after the fire, I would be extremely surprised to see the Honest Ed's one relocates.
The After Dark film festival is totally worth getting the festival pass if you can get the week off. Last year's was of consistent quality with a lot of excellent films spanning different kinds of horror sub genres. Also, you get the VIP line versus those who buy single tickets.
CURTAINS Bluray REVIEWED @ DVD DRIVE-IN:
Just got shipping confirmation from Amazon this evening.
I ordered from Synapse since they said those buying from their website would probably get them before the street date ... no dice. Hopefully, it will be in my mailbox tonight along with Twin Peaks.
I received my copy last night from Diabolik. I would hate to have ordered directly from Synapse and not even get a shipping notification while people are receiving copies from other retailers. I think in my case it was just perfect timing - I ordered a bunch of titles Thursday night and they got their shipment of Curtains sometime Friday morning. They just tucked my copy in with the Thursday order and sent it off Friday afternoon.
Still waiting for Blowitoutahere to ship mine.
I ordered it from Barnes & Noble last night for $12.71 shipped, with a 20% off coupon. It should be here Thursday/Friday. I can wait a few days getting it at that price!
As am I. Got my Bloody Moon Blu from them yesterday.

Fuuuuuuucccckkkkkk, and I thought I was getting a good deal with Amazon Prime at $19.99 :eek1:
Still can't wait for this to arrive. Tracking has it coming Thursday
Yep, it's a great deal with free expedited shipping if you're a member. If anybody wants to order one through Barnes & Noble, the 20% coupon code is: J3R9V3X
I'm not sure how long the code is valid for however. But mine should also arrive on Thursday according to the tracking number!
