As long as they're not overpriced steelbooks, I'm in.

Hmm, never been a fan of Prom Night but then again, I've only watched it once. Maybe it's time to pull out the dvd and see if my feeling about it have changed.

this is cool. one of those few remaining iconic 80's horror films to not get some kind of decent release.

Glad to see other Prom Night fans. I don't get the hate it gets sometimes. I'm more excited for Curtains but this is awesome too!

    I feel the same.
Thought the pace was plodding and it was dull overall.
Never found the 'slasher' genre particularly compelling though there are some good ones-The Burning, Halloween, The Prowler, F13.2.
Good to see a Blu-Ray release though.

I usually enjoy the slasher genre but I did find this one slow and uneventful when I saw it. Definitely agree that it seemed dull.

Demons and Demons 2 got steelbook releases which are high cost and only available on their site. Pretty much everyone's hoping they do normal blu releases too.

I figured they are releasing those that way so they could get some cash flow so they could acquire more titles. I'm sure a lot of their stuff isn't selling that great as most of their stuff is pretty obscure and I'm sure those steelbooks will help them out.

That doesn't make sense to me. Demons 1&2 are somewhat popular titles. The fact that they released them as pretty expensive steelbooks is the main reason they lost me and I'm sure a lot of others. Also, they don't ship outside the US which limits them further.
