It´s the original art and logo, what the hell are people complaining about??
The old Anchor Bay DVD had a B&W version of the Elite LD cover, and those was wrong anyways, nobody complained about that though ;)

Remember when getting a film "letterboxed" was all that mattered.

You're correct - it looks terrific. Better than that fake-grit trend everything from superhero movies to TV show ads use now.

i like the cover. the bright blue background is not what is "hip" right now, and so i guess it doesn't look scary or "extreme" enough. but that's part of what i like about it. for the love of Baal, anything that looks unique is a good thing these days.

Can't wait to see what this looks like. Every time I've seen it it was so goddamned dark you could hardly tell what the hell was going on.

There was no problems with darkness on the Anchor Bay DVD or Elite LD.
    What version did you see?

I honestly have never owned it. I've seen it constantly on cable and on the piece of shit Echo Bridge release. I've never watched the Anchor Bay disc.

Aha, yeah, then it´s probably the old shitty VHS transfer that has been used.

That's why I'm anxious for Synapse's. For me it'll be like seeing it for the first time. Literally.

Wes, it most certainly is! Why do you think I hate it so much? It's definitely been tinkered with in photoshop, too much. I also don't like the proportions much (art should be a little further to the right).

Is it a big deal? No, but I need to find something to whinge about and the cover's as good as any! (Besides, until I get a region free BD player I won't even be watching the BD!) The DVD will have to do...

I think if they put a white border around the cover you'd probably like it. Looks the same to me, just no white border that the one sheet has.
