Very glad to hear about the November releases. Personally, I would buy the steel book versions if I could find them. I have so many sealed dvds and blu rays to watch, I will also wait to get certain films, but I've never come across the Synapse steel books. I am thrilled to get them on Blu, even if they are bare bones.

Glad I said fuck it at tax time and got the steelbooks. Artwork is beautiful, transfers amazing, and the extras are great too. Plus having reproductions of the movie ticket and birthday invite was neat touch.

I caved in and just got the steelbook in the mail today. I kept telling myself I wasn't gonna spend the $$ but when I read only 150 or so were left as of July 1st I knew it was time. It' been over two months since that supply update. I wonder how many are left now? I'm in no rush to get the second one though as there were a lot more of those in stock and I don't see that one selling out too soon.

BTW...I'm selling the Arrow steelbook on ebay...http://www.ebay.com/itm/151403915218?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Sticking to my guns on this one. May get the bare bones someday. Glad they are offering it.

If he does this with Suspiria, and I'm sure he will, I'm all over it. Day one.

I really want Suspiria - if they do a great job on the transfer of Suspiria and release a steelbook at a kinda high price I am buying that sucker - I am dying to have that movie with a great HD transfer (as well as lossless audio)

Yeah, too much for a single release, let alone both releases. As much as I'd love to have these new transfers, I just can't justify the price tags.

Diabolik has standard releases of both Demons and Demons 2 on preorder (11/11) for $17.99.

I felt the exact same way up until recently. I went for the Demons steelbook only and I have to say I'm completely satisfied with it. The price tag is steep but the quality and presentation is top notch.

Got the steelbook of the first movie when they announced that the quantities were low. Go figure, they announced the movie only releases right after that.

My steelbook ended up going for $70 on eBay (even though I'm pretty sure it's still on the Synapse website) and I picked up the cheaper releases instead. Just got them in the mail today, $12 each vs $46 each. [IMG]

Plus, I still have my Anchor Bay DVDs to sell off.
