That is AWESOME! Another sale right here. Thanks Synapse.

The article also states that other "exciting" titles are to be announced in the next few weeks. Really hoping there are some more slashers announced! Any chance of a little hint, Don? :D

OMG this is awesome! I know it's a terrible film, but I love it for some reason. Was an early slasher for me, up there with Prom Night and Terror Train. We got Silent Scream, now all I need is this and Night Warning (but God knows when Code Red is going to actually put it out).

Edit: Just read the article. So this 35mm print they're using may contain footage that's never been seen for 30 years? Wow I'm SO stoked!

AWESOME! This is one that is in dire need of a proper uncut DVD, and I know Synapse will do it justice.

Don's been making many amazing announcements these past few weeks, but he promises the best is yet to come.

We're probably going to be getting The Image on Blu-ray too.

Nice. While I have always found this to be a lesser slasher movie of the era, I did have alot of fun watching with a group of friends when we rented it in high school. It has grown on me over the years and I am looking forward to finally having a decent presentation.

Well, that sure beats the shit out of the JEF DVD that I have. Thankfully I got it used for $6 at a local record store.

Thanks for all the positive comments, folks!

Just giving you an update. Our version of DORM is an early pre-distributor release under the title DEATH DORM. Jeffrey Obrow found this version (an early 35mm answer print before it was sold to a distributor, who then changed and cut it) while digging around for things for us and we were shocked to find this.

I have been working on the film transfer all week and just want to let you know our version will be one you've never seen before. There are some scene extensions that were edited out and even some extra gore (the drill sequence is amazingly brutal and gory now). I spoke to Stephen Carpenter the other night and he said what we have is something they haven't seen in almost 30 years!

We hope to have this out by Christmas (obviously, that would be a fitting time to release this one).
