    Quality Control/Shit Happens

Synapse says they ship to their online customers first (and have done so in the past) so if you don't mind paying full retail (and puting all the dough right in Don's pocket--fuck Amazon) go for it. I did. Free shipping in US.

I can wait ;), I'll trust Synapse to insure that the final release is a quality product.

Does that still mean we'll get the newly found footage?

Of course, Don even said they'd already edited the footage back into the film and fixed the missing audio. There's probably some issue with the company that presses the discs.

Where are their discs pressed, btw? Considering it's a blu-ray/DVD combo, it's very likely they're produced in Japan. And if they are, I can understand the delay.

You know something? When I get the extra cash I'm going to pre-order this and I never blind buy anything.

I also don't own a Blu-ray player (a personal choice BTW) but if I ever do get one I'll have a copy of this for it.

Looks like a fun slasher film.

Well that's good to hear then. Like MisterTwister, this is a blind buy for me.

Don also said on the Synapse blog he didn't want to step on the toes of the Embodiment release by releasing Pranks too close to it, so that's probably another factor.

Nope. I didn't even know this film existed until I heard this bluray was being released.

    You sonofabitch! Boycott! Boycott!

This sounds awesome. I love it when companies put their hearts into their products and make sure the customers get the best product available.

Wow that's some serious perfectionism. Props to Synapse for their complete dedication.

See, that's why companies like Synapse and BU are so respected and in the eyes of many of us are always pointed to when bringing up the best of the best. It's not fanboyism; they just do things right and actually give a shit. They've EARNED the right to be trusted. If only every company was so worried about their releases coming out properly colored...

I'm totally cool with these kind of delays. If they need to get it right, so be it. Unlike some other companies...

    Pretty pumped for this release.

    Kudos to Synapse! ;)

Seriously... would somebody really want it a few weeks earlier as a less-than-perfect product, or wait a few more weeks to get a more perfect product? The answer would seem obviously logical.

We're waited years for a good release of this film, and I'll gladly wait a bit longer. It's nice to know that some companies still take pride in the quality of their releases.
