Has anybody seen or bought this there i havent and i cant find it anywhere but on walmart.com anybody know if this available anywhere else or have they picked it up i checked one of the 3 walmarts today but no luck does anybody know any info???
I had no idea Ants was out on DVD...I just looked it up, looks like it's available on Amazon, but haven't seen either of those titles in any of the stores I go to around here (Borders, Best Buy, SUncoast, usual suspects etc.)...Thanks for the tip...I just ordered the 2 pack off of Walmart.com. I'm sure the quality leaves much to be desired in both cases, but am glad to have them on disc.
Oh man, I love these "nature runs amok" creature flicks from the '70s/'80s. Didn't know they were getting released on DVD...thanks.
Weird. I checked Deepdiscount DVD and they list Tarantulas with a street date of June 27th as does best buy. No cover art though to see if it is the same, I'm sure it is. I wonder if these technically aren't out yet, that's why no WalMart store stock. Hmmm
Just received mine today. I must say I was surprised that the prints used were so sharp. Both films look good, fullscreen, which I expected as these were made for TV movies. But overall for $5.00 well worth it. Don't know if they showed up in stores yet, but it only took a few days to come from wallyworld online.
I just ordered it from Evil-Mart earlier. Had to pay shipping and tax ($8.52 total), but it's still cheaper than buying them seperately at another vendor. And who knows if they'll actually get this one in the store bins or not...
I'm telling you guys the prints they used for these are amazing. I mean for the money it was a shock, I was expecting real scratcy grainy prints, these look soooo sharp. IMO Ants definitley the better of the two flicks.
Has anybody seen these around Suncoast or anything?? Of is Wal-Mart online the only place to get them? Thanks.
Got 'em both in the mail the other day from Wallyworld. The A/V quality is pretty damned good, as is the disc/case quality too, surprisingly.
I can only add to the other comments, that these really are surprisingly good transfers of both films. REALLY good, considering they were both made-for-tv b-films from 1977. Totally happy, and hope that maybe there will be more releases of made-for-tv schlock like these.
