I'll get some nicer pictures once I have a few hung up on the wall. I have been wanting to do this for years. Ordered some a few years back but quality was crap and I sent them back. These are nice!!!

I was planning to do this when I got a dedicated home theater room when I build a house someday. In the meantime these are going up in my computer room and our new place. I only ordered two but plan to order about four more now that I know the quality is good.

Respect to the disc and awesome wall art!

Frame #2 will be Starship Troopers Japanese LD. Future frames will be ED2 blood red, Howling, and whatever else looks awesome in my collection...

What a beautiful looking piece! I have a collection of LDs now gathering dust and displaying them like this would bring new life to them. Was this a custom request or are the frames available "off the shelf"?

I got them from here http://framemyrecord.com/

They also have frames for cds, comics, baseball cards, etc. May get a few for comics, too.

The ones I got are pricey at $59.00 each but if your order is over $100 shipping is free.

    Dave:

Would you ever want to frame a gold disc? A lot of Hong Kong movies were done in gold. I can dig through my (extensive) collection and see which ones. Off the top of my head, I know Drunken Master 2, Dragon Inn, and Fist of Legend were done that way.

I think Document of the Dead is also gold. Would make sense, since it was a Synapse title too.

Comic book frames are nice, and they're not too pricey either ($29). Might have to pick some up and frame a couple of my more valuable ones.

Pretty cool. Curse you for planting the seed, just hanging up covers won't do now!

Here they are on the wall. I didn't get all crazy and make them align perfectly; they are off slightly.

Document is silver, however Argento's World Of Horror Synapse LD is gold. I think I have a template to cut a mat board that shape at my frame shop, gonna play around tomorrow & see what I can come up with.

Too funny because I was just thinking about doing the same thing from the same site! I don't have an Evil Dead 2 yet, but I wanted to get one just for doing this very thing. Would look fantastic down in my theater room/basement.
