    Finally.

Amazon has it for pre order for $10.48 Releasing September 9th 2014.

Still a while away, but at least it's getting a release. I can only assume/hope Adam Family Values is in the works.

I was hoping for deleted scenes, but at that price I guess it's barebones aside from a trailer :(

If it's going to be barebones, I'd almost rather they just did a double feature.

Yeah, that would make the most sense. Good call.

They did the same thing with the DVDs (single releases follow by a double-feature) so I would imagine it's coming eventually. I'll hold onto my DVD until then.

I bought the German Blu-ray of Addams Family last year. They only included two trailers.

I think they are doing this to coincide with the rap poll on the site. :)

I love both of the Addams Family movies. It would have been nice to see a double feature, but oh well, will grab whatever they release.

As much as I like the first film, Addams Family Values is even better. I will wait.

The upcoming animated film has finally jostled the sequel out of the Paramount vault:

Will be available 10/1, along with a 2-pack of both films.

I recently watched the first movie and had a good time. A bit too long winded towards the end but I enjoyed it more than when I was a kid.
Got the second one to check out too. Keep hearing its better which is good. Don't think I've ever seen it.

Yeah Addams Family Values is better than the first and it's great that it's finally getting released as Paramount doesn't seem to care about their back catalogue these days. Can't justify these barebones releases though, these films were (and maybe still are? Haven't checked in a while) on Netflix.

The possible exception to accepting bare bones is the still looming possibility of streaming services purging their catalogs (or losing rights as streaming services bicker over their proprietary IPs). I'd rather have a bare bones release now than none at all in the future.

Yeah that's fair. For me to buy a barebones release though it's gotta be a movie I really love otherwise it's a pass. It's just a rule I've set for myself. I've stopped buying every release over the past few years as my collection was getting too big and full of movies I never watch. Plus I don't have the space for it anymore. Also money lol.

Yes I came to the same realization. It could literally take decades to get through all that I own I have so much. In the meantime bigger better editions come out. And in the end for the vast majority of these I can flick on something like Netflix and watch it anyways. So I've stopped buying Hollywood films all together. Adams Family is a great case in point as I was channel surfing last week, it was on, and I ended up watching it. It's great but it's not a movie I'll get a burning desire to see on its own requiring a physical copy.

Buying in digital is where the real hazard is with licensing being pulled so I don't do that. The only digital copies I buy are Rifftrax and you can then download them free and clear (which I do) so I've got 'em right where I want 'em.

The double feature blu-ray is available for pre-order.

$12.99, but there's a promo that drops it to $10 at checkout.
