Unless something crazy happens and my fiancee actually WANTS to watch a horror movie tonight, here's my Halloween viewing fodder:

Each one has sort of fit a theme, which is something I love when watching movies back-to-back (to back?).

    Fright Night (Vampires)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (Gory Sequels)
    Black Roses (Cheese)
    Re-Animator (Mad Scientist)
    The Howling (Werewolves)
    Opera (Giallo)

I might try to squeeze some more in... I'm missing lots of categories (Monsters Running Wild, Animal Attacks, Slashers, Witches, Ghosts, etc.) Halloween is too short.

It's actually past Halloween over here, and I haven't had the time to watch much today, but I started Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare last night and I'm gonna finish it now.

Seems pretty appropriate since it was the first horror film I ever saw full length (according to my own memory). I still like it. Damn all the haters. It's fun.

I had a list of movies planned to watch today, but I ended up changing all but one of them (Monster House) when I woke up on the "Parties of people get killed" side of the horror bed. I even lived dangerously by watching two movies that were new to me on Halloween day, but they were both good and thankfully didn't Satan's Little Helper my ass. Murder Party had plenty of faults, but I was in just the right mood for it and it turned out to be the perfect movie to wrap up my October movie marathon with.

    I miss Halloween already. :(

What a bittersweet film! I was going to watch it earlier this year, but decided to save my first ever viewing for Halloween. I'm so glad I did!

The ending, I'm still conflicted over though:

C'mon, Victor should have married Emily damnit! I mean, she even brought him his dog Scraps back as a wedding present! How sweet was that?!

I need more time to think this one over... ( )

    Moving along to the classics:

Then, for the remainder of the evening, it was all laserdisc baby:

Better late then never we had a Friday The 13th marathon. Me and a few of my friends decided to have a movie party. We watched part 1 to 6. We started our party a little on the late side. I so do wish this series had died off after part 4. Part 5 and 6 were milking a dead cow.

All in all it was a great month for watching nothing but Horror movies. I had a good mix of films this year than last so it kept things interesting. It looks like everyone on here had a great time watching movies as well. There were still a lot more films that I wanted to add but just didn't have the time. Looking foward to next Halloween!

A fine way to close out my October viewings--with a Vincent Price slasher. He must have had a blast with this role. Price got to gleefully quote Shakespeare throughout and cheerily stab people. I loved it when he wore a fake mustache as a disguise over his real mustache! And, come on, the fencing duel on a trampoline? Price's stuntman doing a flip off a trampoline and then commencing with the slashing? Price as a so-so-fey hairstylist?
