It plays fine on my Panasonic Region A Blu-ray player.
The disc goes currently for $7 brandnew at amazon.de's Marketplace. But yeah, the shipping will kill your wallet.

Amazon.DE shipping comes out to 14 bucks on no matter how many dvd/Blus you buy.It does help to buy more then less.I buy alot of KOCH spaghetti western dvds from them.

Guys, I know the review is here on the site and I go by the reviews for a lot of my purchases but I'm a little fidgety on the Bird with the Crystal Plumage blu or DVD.Is the extra grain and framing errors ,per say a nuusance?

Microscopic-like fine detail and great outdoor greens. The German Blu-ray release of Antichrist is a real stunner. Not sure if its a PAL thing but if the U.S. Blu-ray will look anything like this one, you're in for a treat.

I didn't see this available anywhere this week, and Amazon doesn't have it either. Just says currently not available, so maybe it's delayed.

There is nothing like the differences between PAL and NTSC with HD. Unless the distributor fucks with the mastering, the HD can be identical on either side of the pond.

Good to know. I remember when DVDs got started and there was talk about how much better PAL looked or something like that. So I was kind of wondering if it was the same deal with HD.

The German Blu-ray of The Goonies comes with a nice looking and clean transfer. There are a few fine detail shots regarding texture on clothing but, Chunk's truffel shuffle in HD won't reveal more than we've already seen before ;) I'll give the picture quality 3.5/5 rating.
The extras appear to be the same from the SE DVD, and the Theatrical trailer is actually in 16x9 Widescreen. I've never got around buying the DVD so I'm pretty pleased with this one.

Bladder effects in HD! The German Blu-ray of The Howling sports a gorgeous transfer. Beautiful colors, razor sharp image - nearly flawless. Picture quality rating: 4/5

Aside from the Disney/Pixar stuff, I have to say that the TV show Lost is the best I've seen on blu-ray.

Is it Region 0? If so, where is the best place to get it?

    It's Region B.

The disc comes with a featurette (The Werewolf Effect), two Trailers and 2.0 DTS HD Master Audio.

Just watched The Howling BD, The transfer is incredible as is the audio, The Werewolf Effect isn't great though, Great to see Joe Dante but those French guys were annoying and where was Bottin ??

Even though Welcome to the Jungle (2007) takes the balls out of "Cannibals" I still thought it was ok. This film really benefits from HD though. The UK Blu-ray is a real stunner, with at times breathtaking 3-D like detail.
