Just a reminder, pre-orders are this Wednesday at 4PM!

The free autograph promotion this time around is for The Buddy Holly Story. If you're interested in that, you have to spend $100 or more on Twilight Time releases and you'd better be ready at 4PM, because they don't last long.

I'm 100% in for The Blob, I'm kind of waffling on The Believers and The Vanishing. We'll see how I feel come Wednesday.

Also, not sure if this was mentioned, but Twilight Time actually did extras for The Blob!

    Special features include:
    - Isolated Score Track
    - Audio Commentary with Director Chuck Russell and Shock Till You Drop’s Ryan Turek
    - Friday Night Frights at The Cinefamily (Q&A with Russell at a 2014 screening of The Blob)
    - Original Theatrical Trailer

Apologies if this has been asked before but does SEA charge at time of ordering or shipping?

I could be wrong, but I believe they don't charge until shipment.

Holy shit that was easy. It took almost as long for me to decide to add Mindwarp or not as paypal checkout did!

Grabbed The Blob, The Vanishing, and The Believers.

Thought about grabbing another title so I'd be eligible for the autographed Buddy Holly Story, but... meh.

Took about 8 minutes using paypal. Site slow down. Each page took very long to load. Even had to login twice. But I got my order in. Just got one copy.

Same. 9 minutes, start to finish. Was on the site seconds before the item popped up (pre-order list was 144, became 149), everything else was trudging through glacier movement paced screen transitions before finally getting the order completed.

Every screen update and submit dragged arse like an incontinent dachshund. And then there was one truly bizarre hiccup - the site prompted me to add a shipping address because it didn't have one in my profile. Which made no sense, because I know I had one from past orders. Click the screen to add an address, and find its already pre-filled with my address. So I'm left scratching my head wondering why I had to sidetrack to add something that was already in the system.

The shunt to PayPal was quick, the shunt back not so much. Then came the silly "confirm payment" screen, which again dragged arse to complete. I actually got the order confirmation email in my mail box almost a full minute before the browser refreshed with the order confirmation screen saying the same.

This almost made the annual hotel sign-up for GenCon look good.

100% exact same this happened to me. The shipping address was odd to say the least. My info was all there filled in when the page loaded.

Just thinking about this. Would this movie be classified as one of the best horror remakes of all time? In the class of The Thing and The Fly. Maybe the "The" has something to do with it. :p

The interest and love for this movie and it being a "must have" is quite impressive.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers '78, Carpenter's The Thing, The Blob and 2004's Dawn of the Dead I believe are the best remakes.

After rewatching both versions of The Blob a couple of years ago I think the '88 version enters the rarified status of a remake that improves upon the original (alongside The Thing '82 and The Fly '86). They definitely knew how to do remakes right in the 80s.

I grabbed this along with The Believers, Audrey Rose, The Vanishing, free autographed copy of Buddy Holly, and the Rock and Roll Nightmare soundtrack for $0.50!
