Site seems to be down or too busy right now. I finished downloading the full movie today. Two AVIs of 700 MB each one.

I'll check again in a pair of hours as I return home. If torrent is no longer being seeded or anything, I'll create my own one and post it in Torrentspy.

Fuck those guys that don't want to release it in DVD!
Then they complain about piracy! :fire:

Thanks in advance for when you get this up on TS, seeing how that link is deader than Dillinger. Let us know.
    Cheers!

Yeah it looks like it wasn't converted directly to dvd like CP and MS. It was obvilously converted to avi to fit on 2 cds but I'm sure it will still look really nice combined and burned to a single dvd.
A straight dvd-convert would've been nice, but this will work fine as I just want to see it. Plus it will dl in half the time or less.:)
    Thanks for the links Franco!

Well, it looks OK in my CRT 29" TV. But can't say how it looks in a plasma, projector, or projection TVs. Give it a try those who have any of those.

Use a program like Nero to convert and burn it to dvd (or video cd if you wish).
Or you can play the avi's on your computer.
Or if you have a dvd player that supports divx (not the old bullshit Circuit City failure, but the encoding), you can just burn them both to cds or a dvd and watch them direct.

If you have a burner, you should have some program with it to convert and/or burn.

I don't have a super-nice tv, it's not HD or progressive or anything but has a 16:9 mode for dvds. I'll let ya know how it looks on my 32" in 16:9 mode after I burn it anamorphic via Nero.
Both Monster Squad and Child's Play looked as good or better than legit dvds, so does a R4 dvd-rip (in divx, which is the same as avi) of Wolf Creek I dl'ed a long time ago and burned anamorphic when that was in theaters. Popped that in for a few minutes yesterday when deciding if I want to pick up a used copy of the R1 disc and was amazed at good it looked.

I think this will look great as well since those files are huge for avi. Usually a movie with this running time would be one of those 700mb files in avi. That WC was around 800 and looks great, so these are probably encoded at a nice high level. If this keeps it's speed it should be downloaded and burned by tonight, ready to watch after the Tigers game.:)

    Just got done with this.
It doesn't look quite as good as the Child's Play or Monster Squad discs, probably because it wasn't transfered directly to dvd files but to avi. The audio is also pretty low.
That being said, it still looks at least 5 times better than the Vipco dvd I have a (uncompressed) dub of.

Hey, it's 02:03 hrs. here in Lima and I gotta sleep. Since the PC is in a corner of my fuckin' room I'll have to turn off the PC.

But I'll restart seeding the AVI files in four hours, at 06:00 hrs.

Sorry for this inconvenience but the noise of the PC doesn't let me sleep.

    Hugs,
    Franco

Thanks Franco, downloading it now. I have the full screen vipco dvd, but it`s the cut version. Haven`t seen it uncut for years.

    Thanks Again.

Thanks for the download Franc(o). :)

Very nice quality, but there is at least one instance where the picture goes batty for a second or two.

Not that this was going to be a keeper at any rate, but those damn "Monsters HD" and "VOOM" logos pop up at the worst possible times...like during the finale even! :eek2:

Yeah, I forgot to mention just how many times those popped up on this. It wasn't nearly that bad on the versions of From Beyond, Monster Squad, or Child's Play. I think these were every 10 minutes, then every 7 near the end. All the others were like 2-3 times total, this was at least 9.:nervous:

It still makes a fine hold-over dvdr until MGM gets their shit together (although I give them mad props on the Texas Chainsaw 2 disc, KUDOS! ) and puts these out on legit SE dvds. They are missing the boat on all these for Halloween. Could've been the best Halloween ever, but MGM let us down.
