This beloved film will receive an unrated Blu-ray DVD and Digital HD release on April 25, 2017.
the unrated cut is the version that was supposed to be Rated R but changed last minute for theatrical. anyhow this will be a day 1 buy lol but on dvd if it is unrated too
also looks like the blu-ray is unrated and rated while the dvd is just the pg-13 cut so get the blu-ray cause it is unrated and also includes dvd as well
I dont think being unrated can save this trainwreck
I was going to see this once available for download. It got such bad reviews I can't help but be curious lol. If it has an unrated cut then that's a bonus.
I will simply pick up the blu when it comes out. Turd or not, I like having a variety in my collection.
same here also another film I got on dvd which is kinda fun is slasher.com at walmart
The negative reaction it got makes me want to see it more.
I always find negative reactions (especially from youtube critics) to be hilariously exaggerated and over the top.
These ass clowns think they know trash cinema?
Release date now is April 11th my birthday
Sending you two hookers. Happy B-day F-dawg.
U still want those vhs
Yes I would.
Still picking up the unrated bluray I usually like generally bad movies
Watched the unrated cut the other night and didn't totally hate it. It was at least more entertaining than The Disappointments Room which was indeed a disappointment (not that I knew anything going in, it was just a bore and not scary).
The Bye Bye Man still has plenty of stupid moments such as a laughable ending when the main character figures out he can't trust what he sees and then immediately believes a situation playing out in front of him while you as the viewer are sitting there thinking what an idiot he is.
Definitely not a film I would spend money on, but if you don't mind laughing at some bad acting (train scene for example) and poor script writing then this will probably entertain you. The idea behind the film also isn't terrible, it's just not executed very well.
Also, this snippet from the end of the bluray.com review is pretty accurate:
Well it was better than the gallows heck I I enjoyed it more than the visit and unfriended
I didn't mind The Visit and Unfriended but I hated The Gallows.
It didn't remind me of any of those films, but it reminded me a lot of My Soul To Take. If you liked that movie, you'll probably like this one.
It's too bad the rest of the film couldn't measure up to that terrific opening scene. I didn't mind the film personally, but it was pretty bad (acting, dialogue, etc).
fceurich39 said that he found this better than those films, not they reminded him of it
