I was shocked that Alicia took that role...
here are some lines that Darian says:
"Nick, ever do a virgin? I know you want to..."
"Guess what...got my period..."
(Where's Cheyenne?) "Why?! You wanna do her to, is that it? I'm not good enough for you?"
Those aren't so shocking.
Huh, the origional script...whohoo-hooooo! SHocking! She gets imapled at the end with a unicorns (merry go round) head, she kills Amy. She goes totally postal to carve NICK in her arm, she almost kills her horse, she tries to stab her father to death....the orginal script was much MUCH scarier
But that's not how the movie turned out. So the movie itself isn't very shocking.
Those sounded like soundbites from Saved By the Bell, starring "Bad Zack".

What Saved By the Bell were you watching?!
Really....well, then it's not shocking...but I thought it was for a 14 year old. I guess it isn't...
If YOU found it shocking - then it IS shocking. World would be a boring place if we all liked the same things, and found the same things affect us.
Seriously, Saved by the Bell was shocking. All that potential for school uniforms, and they managed to blow it.
Yup! But, seriously. Saved by the Bell rules...IMHO
I like the middle shows. Early sucked. Late sucked. Middle good. The UK version was great too.
I voted that it was ok.
But hey if you liked then it was good.
Just because I or someone else does not like a movie doesn't mean it's a bad film.
A film is a personal experience.
You can have 10 so called professional film critics and you will find that their ratings will range from awful to wonderful on almost all films. That's because every film will evoke a different ranges of emotions on each individual depending on thier mood at the time or even life experiences leading up to that film. Just look at following web link and punch in any movie you like and you will usually find a wide range of opinions.
So if you like a film don't let anyone say it sucked because it didn't suck to you, and that's all that matters.
I had to go with hated it, because there was no middle ground between "it's ok' and "hated it." I certainly wouldn't pick It's OK, because it wasn't IMO, so hated it was the closest. As for it being shocking, I've seen more shock on an episode of American Idol. But that's just me, if you like it then more power to ya. I'm sure plenty hate some of my favorites.
I watched this film again and I think I'd probably change it to ok now. I think one of the things that held it together for me was Kurtwood Smith, I always think he's a joy to watch especially when he plays odd characters like in RoboCop, Fortress, and this.
Never saw it.
I don't think it was very well-made but I voted "It's Okay" because I love Alicia Silverstone (she's a goddess!) and she and Cary Elwes were great in it.
In Burgos We Trust.
This thread is awesome. I thought the movie was okay - fun in that you know exactly what is going to happen but the subject matter is trashy enough to make it worthwhile.
Loved it very underrated movie!
Haven't seen it in a looooong time! I liked it back then and I'm not sure I'll be watching it again anytime soon so I guess I'll vote for that.
