My guess is they're referring to Circus Peanuts...

Finally! I've been waiting on this one for the longest time. Between this and "It Comes at Night" and 2016 films like "The VVitch" and "The Eyes of My Mother" I'm glad to see that dark, gritty, atmospheric horror films are making a come back.

Saw this at Fantastic Fest back in 2015 and really enjoyed it. As soon as it began with a heartwarming scene of a father and daughter headbanging I knew the film was speaking my language.

I thought this was fantastic and I can't recommend it enough. This is the perfect example of a straight forward, no nonsense horror film. The final few minutes are easily some of the most excruciating, nail biting moments I've seen in a horror film in some time. Oh, and the soundtrack is pretty kick ass.

I do want to see this and will probably buy it when available in blu/dvd. I love Ethan Embry. Great actor. Glad you liked it.

I saw this one not long ago and quite enjoyed it. The music was great, the cast terrific and the story was quite tense. My only nitpick was that it sort of sets itself up as something demonic and supernatural but never really goes down that path
I'm referring to the creepy chant music both the killer and dad hear as well as the visions and whatnot.

Now available on NetFlix streaming, along with another IFC Midnight release The House On Willow Street.

I thought this one was so slow and it was only 79 minutes long. Also didn't care for any of the characters. At least it was free on Netflix.

Watched this earlier today. I dug.

Wasn't the best by any means but I was entertained throughout. Really like Ethan Embry, thought he did a great job.

I'm not a metal head and I actually really liked the characters here. I thought the dad was really loveable and cute with his daughter. They had great chemistry. The story was a little lacking as I feel like they could have done something a little more interesting as those supernatural themes pretty much went nowhere but with that nitpicking aside I'd call this one highly underrated.

I agree with this, the characters were definitely the movie's strong suit. I preferred The Loved Ones, but this was still a really solid little genre film.

Interestingly, the other IFC Midnight debut released on the same day, House On Willow Street, has the opposite problem (good plot, weak characters). I'd say skip that one.

I looked for this last night on Netflix & couldn't find it. What am I missing? Does The Devil's Candy have an alternate title?
