Even though I usually like my movies in widescreen, I think that in full screen the movie just feels right. Not to mention that I first saw the movie in full screen on VHS years ago when it got rented.

This is the rare instance where I prefer the unmatted full screen version. I suspect widescreen presentation was not taken into consideration while filming, despite the fact that it probably was shown that way theatrically.

Fullscreen. Makes me feel better about sticking with my Elite disc all these years.

Rare case of fullscreen. No way did this have dozens of home video and dvd releases in the wrong ratio. AB and Sam can say what they want, this wasn't meant to be WS and we all know it. If it was, then the Elite laserdisc (and dvd) would've been WS.

Don't care. Total non-issue for me. It's still a great movie either way.

No shit? Maybe I won't hunt that Elite disc down after all.

edit: Ah, short-term memory loss, my only friend. I even posted in that ED screenshot comparison thread. Dammit, will I really have to buy that Ultimate Edition to get the true fullscreen?

Yeah, I've got that old Elite disc and I'm planning to trade it in. I got the Ultimate Edition after all the drooling and I managed to snag it for free. I don't think I'll need the old disc any more.

I've never seen this movie in widescreen, but the fullscreen version I have looks fine to me.
