Although this franchise has been run into the ground, I'm interesting to see where this goes with Pesce's name attached to it. Here are the details so far:
A January release AND a Sony film... So far this does not bode well. I actually watched the remake not long ago and thought it was a bit slow and not really scary. I need to watch Ju On The Grude 1&2 again. I'd watch the two prequel Curse movies as well but they're are hard to find, even as downloads.
I can never get through The Grudge remake. I thought the sequel remake was really slow and boring. I don't know why I watched that one before finishing the original remake. But I was going to watch the whole series again. Both American and Japanese versions.
I love the first two original Ju-On the Grudge films (the theatrical ones, not the TV shorts). The late 90:s/early 00:s were great when it came to J-horror. But everything after that, remake and Ju-On sequels have been pretty terrible. I wish it was a japanese reboot of the series instead. As I fear it will be just as retarded as the last Ring movie.
I still haven't seen the new Ring movie yet. But I heard that the movie featuring the two characters versus each other was actually good. I need to see that one as well.
Really? That sucks. I was surprised when I read the title of a review that said the movie was actually good. I think it was on Collider or AintitCool.
Well that did absolutely nothing for me. It didn't seem too spooky and seemed to be a lot of the same stuff we've already seen from these films. I was hoping for a lot better than what I've just seen here.
Well, this looks like it will deliver on the R-rating. And it looks way better than the shitty PG-13 remakes from the 2000:s.
Yeah it definitely hinted at a gory ride! We will see, Im not really a fan of foreign originals and never liked the remakes, but you never know.
There is a certain sickly, urine-drenched atmosphere in these trailers. I need to really hunker down and watch the originals in some kind of order. I found a few of them really creepy.
Well that new trailer has me interested now. I didn't realise this was going for an R rating but it looks pretty sick in a good way.
I love seeing two whole sequences of a movie in the trailer. Not (in my best Wayne Campbell voice) Surprisingly does look good, however.
I'm going to watch all of the originals again as well. I think I saw the first two. Times like this I wish Fear Net was still around because along with all the bad free horror movies, they would have some series.
Got tickets for tonight. It's getting terrible reviews. But it's supposed to be hilariously gory and trashy, so that's good enough for me
