just released this week is the Shaw Brothers THE KILLER SNAKES DVD. A wild and sleazy pic from 1974 that is an Asian horror film with no martial arts. Reminiscent of Stanley and Willard. A loser befriends a bunch of snakes and uses them for revenge to those who torment him. TKS contains some very interesting bondage scenes, good use of color and an excellent Morricone style score. If you are very sensitive to animal cruelty then beware, many snakes are killed on screen for real. theres even a couple of killer lizards thrown in for good measure. At 99 minutes, the film is about 15 minutes too long, but with a few beers and a couple of friends, it's still a hoot. The last few minutes really stuck with me.

just ordered SEEDING OF A GHOST R3 DVD. Thanks for the tip, Bloodman. Apparently SOAG was originally meant to be part of the Black Magic series, so I'm really looking forward to this.

I still cant get parts of The Killer Snakes out of my head!

What website did you get the SEEDING OF A GHOST disc from? Just curious.

Also, what's the "Black Magic series"?

I found this to be pretty boring and tedious. Overall, I'm glad I rented it instead of blind buying it.

I liked Seeding Of a Ghost a lot. it was a little less gory than i expected, but still great, cartoonish fun.

KILLER SNAKES is an all together more grim, dark, and depressing affair.
