How much screen time does Feldman have?
very little, max 10 mins
Wow. They used his to sell the trailer. That's really too bad.
To be fair, that review seems really based on one man's opinion. I like a few examples from the movies to let me decide. I wouldn't trust Mr. Disgusting as far as I could throw him. He's probably mad Warner wouldn't give him the OFFICIAL EXCLUSIVE NEWS. And as far as his babble at the beginning, it's not July 29 yet, is it?
Or, it could suck.
i also heard it is an okay vampire film but a horrible sequel also i've been hearing the alternate endings are way better than the ending in the film
here is borderline positive review i guess
Cory blew the big one on this movie, but it was not his fault. I understand that this whole movie just stunk
1 out of 5 for me
It's not like he's just got a cameo role. He's actually in the movie. There are long-ish stretches without him but he's there at the end spouting some goofy one-liners and fighting the good fight. Fun to see him again actually.
So....the movie. The main vampire wasn't nearly as cool or charismatic as Keifer, actually none of the vampires were very interesting, so it suffers from that, but otherwise I actually enjoyed the movie. Not like it's going to be as popular as the first one, and it's not as good or funny, but it was still entertaining. It might have worked better with a different name, so as to avoid the baggage of living up to the original, but then we couldn't have Edgar Frog in it. That would be a shame.
I think there's a chance of enjoying it if you can forget it's a sequel to Lost Boys and watch it for what it is: a decent, if not awe-inspiring vampire flick. Or maybe I'm just weird and will end up being the only person who enjoyed it. Either way.
Cory and that annoying voice he had. BLAH!!!
Oh.... I'll add .5 of a star out of the one star I originally put, due to the tit scene
Just made his lines all the more funny. Great over-acting!!
Where did you guys see the movie?
It's already out on DVD if you pre-ordered it, Most online retailers were delivering last week as it stocked early.
If you ask me borrow it, rent it, just don't buy it. I am a huge fan of the original. This one is shite with a capital S. Worst acting ever. Feckin waste of time. No stars out of 5.
Well I do agree that you should rent it first. I liked it but I don't know if I could recommend buying it unless it was cheap, especially considering that I'm the only one that seems to have enjoyed it....
I'm not sure about the worst acting ever comment though. I've seen a lot worse than this one. Couldn't understand a word the Jamaican guy was saying though
Seriously though. If you watch this one, are a fan of the original, and have high expectations that it's going to be as good (or even compare it to the original), then you'll be disappointed too. Try to watch it for what it is: a direct to DVD vampire movie with some Lost Boys bits thrown in.
A guy on YouTube has posted the entire film in 9 parts. I really recommend at least watching some of it there. This guy has saved me money. It's not terrible, and some of it's pretty entertaining...but if you're not sure, what some of it first.
Here's a link to what contains probably the most interesting scene (the two Coreys) but you have to wait until after the blackout and credits start. Ohh. This is the end of the film, so of course SPOILER.
I just watched it and I can not find Newlander for the life of me... anyone know?
EDIT: He's in the alternate ending.
Overall I think it was a pretty cool flick but totally not what I was hoping for. It was pretty much was I was expecting though. It looked a little too "WB" for my taste.
The Two Coreys showed Haim blowing in on set which I am guessing is the reason his part was left out. Still not sure if they were leaving the door open for a part three or not.
I got this next in my netflix queue for blu ray- after how bad I thought it could be and some of the really negative reviews I am hoping to be slightly surprised and find it watchable- and so Corey Haim's part never even made it into the film?
Only as an alternate ending..which does not conflict with the ending they went with.
I'm not going to tip toe around this: I hated it. The opening scene had me cringing, the whole "hey bro, we're vampires!" thing, the acting, the stilted dialogue, etc., etc., etc. The Lost Boys is not a classic film but to me, it's a classic HORROR film. They didn't need blood, guts and boobs to make it entertaining. Unfortunately this director didn't get that memo. What a piece of junk.
Corey Feldman is the sole reason I kept watching. He was pretty funny. That's it.
I grabbed a shot of the sax dude from Lost Boys 2 for those who are going to be skipping the movie:
And, just because I loved the scene so much:
This thread breaks my heart.
No, I havent seen it yet.
