Here's some nice places for info on (Italian) Cult soundtracks.Though most of them haven't been released on CD AFAIK. http://www.italiansoundtracks.com/ http://www.scorebaby.com/
youre right, it was from 'the strange vice of mrs.wardh' - just checked. theres a cd of that out, i know. no wonder i had 'nora orlandi' and not 'ennio morricone' as the artist for that mp3 someone sent me...
Here's a comparison between the UK,US and Italy release of Death Walks at Midnight: http://whiggles.landofwhimsy.com/writings/dvdimage-deathwalks.html I'm happy with NoShames releases.I see the differences/problems but I don't mind though.
Mine arrived yesterday, very nice set indeed. Odd how you can get 3 discs in a single box when you really try
I finally got this in the mail today, and ended up having a little double feature viewing. I always thought Death Comes at Midnight looked really cool, but I was a little letdown by it. It just seemed like it could've been so much more; I would've loved to see more of that spiked glove in action. It was also a lot less gory then nearly every review will lead you to believe. On the other hand, I found Death Walks in High Heels to be totally enjoyable. Dispite it's less violent approach, it never felt slow or boring to me. I really enjoyed the 2 detectives. Both films had some really good music, I can't wait to check out the included CD.
Yeah, I really liked the detectives too, Jeff. You get the sense though, at the end of the film, that when they pass each other the cigarette that it is more than just a cigarette, if you know what I mean.
Hahah, their relationship seemed more like it had a Mr. Burns/Smithers type thing going on. I did get around to checking out that included CD, it wasn't too bad. I was sad because the vocal track from Death Walks in High Heels wasn't included, and damnit I wanted to put that on the ol' Ipod.
Yeah, there were so many awesome tracks from the two Death films that didn't make the cut on the CD, which is a real shame. It is still a great CD, but nothing beats that Valentina song at the start of MIDNIGHT.
I enjoyed both of them, but contrary to most reviews I have seen I much preferred high heels. I found it much more engaing even if it was a little slower paced and featured less violence. Either way though this is agreat set--both are fun films and the transfers are stellar. The CD is just the gravy on top!
Watched both movies and listened to the CD.Man,this is great stuff.I already knew Death...Midnight but watching it in Italian gave it something extra. I enjoyed both and I think I liked Death...Heels better.Typically Gastaldi plot.Great fun.Now looking forward to Ercoli's Forbidden Photos..
DEATH WALKS ON HIGH HEELS Defective Discs - PLEASE READ I didn't have problems with it but apparently some people did: Link: http://www.noshamefilms.com/news/news1.asp?id=58
I can get this for 7 bucks. Is it worth that much? It's been getting quite a few negative feelings towards it. Anymore thoughts? Thanks.
I saw Death Walks At Midnight a few months ago and felt it was a very average giallo. In fact, I don't remember much about it at all. I do plan on buying the box set, however, because I do want to see Death Walks on High Heels and I'd like to have that nifty soundtrack CD.
