The film the Fog Remake should have been, Frank Darabont's the Mist VS John Carpenter Original. Pick your Winner.

You just had to, didn't you? This is tough, but I think it's The Fog for me.

The Fog. I kinda can't forgive The Mist for CGI.

I love them both. However, The Mist is completely lacking in Atkins and Curtis so it's the loser here, no matter how much and on how many levels I enjoy watching the crazy "We have Judas in our midst!" church lady.

I probably won't give The Mist a second viewing. I lost count years ago how many times I've watched The Fog. One of my favorite John Carpenter films.

Someone voted for the Mist? WOW! ;) I actually wanted to throw up when that movie was over (sorry). The Fog was one of the better Carpenter flix from the time and Darabont's ending on The Mist just lacked in my mind.

As much as I like the fog. I think it just barely cracks Carpenters Top 5. On the other hand I think you can make a case for The Mist cracking the top 10 of the decade. Overall I think The Mist is the better film.

The Fog for me, no contest. I really like The Mist but The Fog is just, well, classy Carpenter stuff. Hard to beat that ;)

The Mist was a mighty fine film, but The Fog has a special place in my heart. I love the soundtrack and it has Jamie. The Fog wins.

This is among the hardest to pick polls yet, nice evil work thinking it up there Ash.

I'm gonna refrain from voting for a day or 2 and let it sink in. I love both, but am leaning towards the Mist due to it getting more play, but how can I go against the Fog? Damn it man!

i'm not gonna vote for any of the 2 since they are both very different movies (and i can't choose), The Fog is a classic style ghost story while The Mist is more of a character study/drama/horror thriller that has a lot in common with Night Of The Living Dead

    both are very fine movies!

    The Fog.

It's one of Carpenter's best flicks. It's got a great score, good leads and a spooky as hell premise. That's not to take anything away from The Mist, though. That's also a great flick.

I like the Fog although I was never a big fan of the movie. I was surprised and actually really enjoyed the Mist although I can see why some people were put off by the cgi spiders and stuff. I give the Mist a very slight nudge over the Fog (forgive me)

I've seen The Mist three times now, but it just can't compete with The Fog.

I love The Mist, but not as much as I love The Fog. One of my favourite horror films. Both great movies though, this poll was one of the harder ones.

This is a hard one for me because while I think they're good I'd place both towards the bottom of the good pile.

But thinking in terms of Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis, Janet Leigh and Nancy Kyes; Choice becomes simple.
