Some FANTASTIC News from Warner Archive re: Night School. They replied to someone's request on their Facebook Wall today. There is HOPE and more horror titles are coming from them in the near future...

"The forecast is good for both NIGHT SCHOOL and THE PACK...both will probably arrive some time next year. Prospects are zero for DEADLY EYES, as we no longer have distribution rights."

"Meanwhile horror film fans should check back with this page over the next few weeks, as we'll be announcing some KILLER favorites that have been highly requested for years!"

WOW.... that's AMAZING. Night School on DVD... never thought I'd live to see the day. And I know I said it before but... I REALLY hope Ken Russell's "The Devils" is part of those announcements. It's such an incredible film.

Is Deadly Eyes the one where the killer rats eat someone's baby out of its highchair?

Sucks that Warner no longer controls Deadly Eyes. Must have happened recently, they were shutting down bootleg auctions of this title less than a year ago (along with several titles they have already released on the archive line).

Too bad about DEADLY EYES - Glad I have a VHS bootleg. WB also lost rights some time ago for another 80s Canadian horror flick called MURDER BY PHONE.

So thrilled about NIGHT SCHOOL again - gives something to look forward to in '11

Next year?? Wow... kind of makes me wonder what highly requested "killer favorites" they'll be bringing us this year. Anyway, thanks for the info!

That's good news. They recently released Endangered Species on DVD at least.

Meanwhile, it took them 2+ months to correct a faulty encode of one Warner Archive title...and some people are still receiving the botched discs apparently. Hopefully Warner gets their quality control in order one of these days.

AH! I WILL BUY IT IMMEDIATELY! Slashers are getting some lovin'. My my!

Maybe the KILLER titles refer to Killer Party, or Killer Workout? I don't know who owns those, but perhaps.

I can't wait. This was always one of my favorites. It's a pretty classy movie for the most part. sort of feels like an Italian Giallo.

Thus far the Warner Archive collection has already pulled through with the promise of bringing out a lot of off-the-beaten path titles with respectable transfers. I've seen a lot of weird favorites, like BAD RONALD, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK and CLASS ACT, while at the same time I've been introduced to worthy new titles like TWO ON A GUILLOTINE and, uh, a couple more that I can't remember. I'd imagine the overseas thing (and Canada, too!) is a licensing issue, but whatever it is, I too wish they'd sort it out.
