What do you guys think about Alan Jones review of DO you like Hitchcock?

I gotta agree that the scene where he is being chased was so flippin' chessy.

Still wanna see it though only becasue of Argento.

How do you know the scene is cheesy if you've never seen the movie?

That scene was part of the promo reel which was downloadable a few weeks back.Although it was not edited properly it was tedious.I hope the end result will be better.
I didn't read it because it's full of spoilers.I will read it after i've seen the movie.I hope they'll play it at the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival.

Sorry, posted something and found what I was looking for later. Just re-editing so I don't get a bunch of people spoutin' off shit. Couldn't find a delete post option!

He basically posted his right seconds {EDITED BY USER} I didn't see the beginning of his previous post {/EDIT} or so before me and answered what I was confused over? I can't exactly remember what it was at the moment, but I believe it was a take on RyanPC's last post.

I heard Argento had a retrospective somewhere, and at the end toke off his clothes and said: NOW THAT YOU'VE SEEN MY FILMS, YOU'VE SEEN ME, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO HIDE.

I think I heard this from DARKDREAMS.

BTW, that rumor about Landis and Argento have problems over steak and pyscho is false. I had a chance to talk to John Landis at comic-con this year, and he confirmed that it was indeed false and he knows nothing about it whatsoever.

    CASE CLOSED.

That is the dilemma I often face while reading things here. Post all smileys or... ignore. I guess instead of ignore, block it out of my mind for my own sanity is probably much closer to the truth a lot of the time. :nervous:

I'm thinking of buying The Stendhal Syndrome, but is anyone else planning on re-releasing the film on DVD? Or, is the italian edition the definitive?

I thought about buying it myself but because of the price and the fact that I already have the movie,I hesitate.Stendhal isn't my favorite Argento and probably never will be.
    I don't know about a rerelease.

If you actually like the movie it's definitely worth the price of the Italian release just for the Italian dub alone, let alone the superior transfer. Watching it in Italian on this version is much like watching the Trainspotting re-release (which if you haven't experienced Trainspotting with the full surround sound and anamorphic picture, you absolutely must! It's like watching the film all over again for the first time!). I'm not saying the surround sound on this disc is excellent though, I'm just saying it feels like watching the movie again for the first time. Actually being able to hear Asia and just to mention (once again) the transfer is much better. I don't mind Tromatic transfers for shitty 70-80's movies that really don't deserve much better, but this is friggin' Argento! I guess they did release it widescreen due to his request (so at least they maybe sorta tried).

Did not want to make a whole new thread, so I chose this one, since it fits well with it.

Claudio will indeed be doing music for Argento's MOH 2.

Scroll down, to the english translation on the site:

"This is going to be vintage Argento. Pretty strong stuff," said Medusa topper Giampaolo Letta.

I like the sound of that. Can't wait...
