    Probably been discussed in the past.
    I'm pretty sure the painting was created especially for the movie. Who made it? I don't know. Nobody knows, I guess.
    But do you think it was based on Pieter Bruegel's "Hunters in the Snow"?

    Can't seem to get my DVD player working. Or the DVD is not doing what it's supposed to.
    So I'll just *bump* this thread. It's the best I can do, and perhaps someone else could make a screenshot of the picture in Bird.

    Hard to say if there's a connection.Argento is greatly influenced by art though,so there might be some inspiration.BIRD was inspired by Frederic Brown's novel THE SCREAMING MIMI.In the book the work of art that is a key to solving the mystery is actually a little mass produced sculpture of a screaming woman rather than a painting.
