house of whipcord is awesome, but i would have rather seen frightmare or the flesh and blood show included in the set over die screaming marianne - that was my least favorite title from the shriek show box set. don't know anything about the comeback or schizo though. i'm curious to know more...

I agree with your above points. House of Whipcord is my favorite Walker film, and I would have rather seen Frightmare or The Flesh and Blood Show in this set.

I never bought The Comeback or Schizo on DVD though, so I'll definitely pick this one up. Kino/Redemption have done a pretty solid job on their Blu-rays, so these should be at least an A/V improvement over the old SS DVD editions.

FRIGHTMARE, THE CONFESSIONAL, THE FLESH & BLOOD SHOW and more will indeed be coming in the future.

I already have Schizo and House of Whipcord on DVD. Never seen The Comback or Die Screaming Marianne so may still want the set.

Coming this November from Redemption Films / Kino Lorber: a four-pack of British nasties from the always-reliable Pete Walker! A nice assortment of thrillers ranging from gory early slashers to offbeat women in prison efforts, this collection should serve as a great introduction to the director's warped oeuvre.

    Now up for preorder:

A little more expensive than I anticipated, but I went ahead and placed a pre-order. Hopefully there's some reviews prior to the release date.

Was planning on pre-ordering myself but I just can't plunk down $60+ on this when one of the movies in the 4 movie set is Die Screaming Marianne. If the price drops ~$20, I'll bite.

    THE COMEBACK comparison:
(Media Blasters/Anchor Bay UK master vs. new Redemption blu)

The price is still too high for my tastes; hopefully after release date some marketplace sellers will have it for $45-ish.

(I don't know how to make the images the same size.)

This set is currently priced at $39 at importcds.com; $40 listing minus 10% with SAVE10 promo code plus $3 shipping/handling. They've got killer prices on the redemption line if you want to combine for shipping costs (+$1.50 per item shipping).

Yeah, I have it on pre-order at ImportCDs also. I placed a larger order so shipping costs weren't much of an issue.

Grabbed the Blue Oyster Cult 17-disc Box Set for $57 too, which was also a hell of a buy...if they ever get it in stock.

The Comeback is now available on Netflix instant streaming but I haven't checked the quality.

I grabbed the blu ray collection with some Christmas gift cards and was shocked by how good THE COMEBACK looks -- it could've been filmed yesterday! SCHIZO looked really nice, but not quite to the same level. Haven't watched MARIANNE or WHIPCORD yet; they're not really favorites of mine.

I had heard several Redemption titles popped up on Netflix streaming lately, including the Rollin and Franco titles. Easy way for people to "test the waters," so to speak!

Eschewing the box set approach, Redemption just released a pair of standalone Pete Walker titles on blu: the much requested cannibal grannie epic FRIGHTMARE and his proto-slasher THE FLESH AND BLOOD SHOW.

I saw House of Whipcord for the first time tonight, although it was the murky old Shriek Show DVD. I'm assuming the Redemption Blu is significantly better?

Two weeks ago at Comic-Con, this seller had a stack of 70s movie posters. I thought they were reprints, because they were pristine, and not to mention several dozen copies of the same movies. I bought the Whipcord poster 'cause it was just so.....lurid. But I didn't want to put it up on my wall without having seen it, so I got it off of Netflix. Really glad I did, that was a pretty awesome movie!
