Not only has Prowler become one of my favorite slasher films, but the extras showing Savini doing his effects is like going to FX school. For amateur DV directors (like me), that's worth twice the price.

As other's have said this is one great slasher and a fantastic dvd. Buy it ASAP!!:) IMO The most realistic Kill scenes from Savini ever.

I've wanted to get this for a while and I think I just might have to. Anything showcasing Savini's FX is a must own for me.

I really enjoy learning about filming locations, so I found this pretty interesting. Thought I would share.

There is an episode of the TV show Ghost Hunters called "Touched By Evil" which focuses on the Southern Mansion in Cape May, New Jersey. The mansion was used as the dormitory in The Prowler, where the girl is killed in the shower and where the final scene takes place.

I doubt they will mention The Prowler in the episode, but I am very interested in checking it out. The episode will be re-airing on the SyFy Channel on December 21st at midnight (12AM on the 22nd).

In case anyone was interested, here's a reminder: The Ghost Hunters episode at the Southern Mansion (a location which is featured in the movie The Prowler) airs tonight at midnight on SyFy.

Hey, guys! How come The Prowler got an end credits song that was a mix of sweet/sad and beautiful tune at the same time? Today's horror movies, specially slashers, don't get like as good as this one :(

I actually think this is one of the Slashers that could be remade and done better. The Prowler was a good concept with sone great FX but the characters in the film weren't relatable. I think My Bloody Valentine did a far better job aswell as Jo Zito's Friday the 13th the Final Chapter, put each of the characters from those films in the Prowler and you would have had a better film.

About to watch this film for the second time. Pretty excited as I do not remember a whole lot from the first viewing. Counting on Savini to impress as he almost always does!

Personally, I kind of like how there are plot holes/ unanswered questions that arise in this movie. It leaves something for the viewer to desire and possibly formulate their own opinions about some of the stuff that is left out. Also, extremely creepy when Pam is struggling with the killer and shockingly finds out who it really is. One of my favourite slashers all being said and done, especially with Savini's FX.

I re-watched my dvd under the title of Rosemary's Killer the other night. In my opinion the only thing this film has going for it are the special effects which are really well done. Other than that the film is kind of bland. The killer is laughably way too easy to guess for one. The other thing is it has no interesting characters in it and chooses to focus basically the entire run time on the deputy and easily jealous girl, both of whom I found a little dull.

Agreed. There's some great kills and it's well shot, but overall I found the film to be a snoozer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this one's bland. Back when I started getting into horror (about ten years ago) people were raving about this film. It was very overrated.

Always thought this movie was pretty bland on par with my bloody valentine. Great gore but that is about it really.
