Kurtzman’s latest is all THE RAGE
I think that Gary Jones has a great touch for movies like this. I'll give it a shot for sure.
I agree 100%.He seems to love the genre and despite his limited budgets,i think it shows through in his films.

THE RAGE LIVES
Sounds a little bit like 28 Days Later. Hopefully this one will do a better job of delivering the goods. Early shots I've seen look pretty damn sweet.
This one will be good. I met Andrew Divoff at the Rock & Shock con in MA last year. Super nice guy and we got into a really great convo about his debut movie Neon Maniacs. He didn't know it was on dvd and mentioned as soon as he got home, he was gonna buy himself a copy.
Yeah, I met him last year, too, at Horrorfind. I was all fucked up when I walked in and he was the first person I saw. I yelled "WISHMASTER!" and he got up and came over and shook my hand. It was cool.
We've got Robert Kurtzman interview on our radio show over at www.Deadpit.com you can check that out for the latest on 'The Rage' and we go through his entire career (well try to) here's a synopsis:
"The Creepy Kentuckian & Uncle Bill Return from their undisclosed location in Eastern Kentucky to talk horror with one of the best effects guys on the planet ROBERT KURTZMAN, who is also a damn good writer/director (From Dusk Til Dawn, Wishmaster). We also go into the horror news, and The Creepy Kentuckian investigates who owns the copyrights to Romero's Dead films. We also have a quick word with a legendary video game horror director. Reviewing: Murder Set Pieces, The Walker, Evil Breed The Legend of Samhain, and Heebie Jeebies. Uncle Bill & CK announce their 5 worst horror films of ALL TIME. We also mention who some of our future guests are and BELIEVE ME.....you don't want to miss it! So kick back, relax and induce some true horror at DEADPIT.COM "
Director Robert Kurtzman just sent over the fresh poster art seen above for THE RAGE, his science-nature-and-Andrew-Divoff-run-amok film. He also advises to “Stay tuned for upcoming release news, as we are finalizing a deal for U.S. distribution as we speak…it’s coming up fast and furious. Expect a DVD release in the first quarter of ’08.” While he doesn’t mention the company…is that a Screen Media logo we spot on that poster? In any case, we’ll bring you full disc details as soon as we get ’em, and in the meantime, see our advance review here and the movie’s new official website here. —Michael Gingold
THE RAGE DVD DETAILS!
This was a pretty fun and gory b-movie. Very over-the-top with a neat mad doctor theme. Not a perfect film, but lots of brainless bloody action that kinda made up for it. Worth checking out if you happen to enjoy Re-Animator or Feast or 28 Days Later
Not a great movie by any stretch, but as a fan of horror/comedy with over the top blood splatter, I really enjoyed it. Glad I picked up the DVD, as this is just the type of horror movie I tend to revisit the most and grow fonder of over time.
Glad this thread pointed me in the right direction, as chances are I would've missed it otherwise.
This flick is lots of fun!!
I bought this back when it was first released, and never watched it for whatever reason (I tend to do that a lot).
Atrocious CGI and acting* aside, it's a fairly entertaining little zombie / creature feature. Reminded me of a movie called Terror Birds I saw a while ago, only much bloodier. That said, I probably had more fun with Terror Birds.
It also made me really want to revisit some of the similar creature features from around the same time, like Big Bad Wolf (the trailer is on the DVD before the movie) and Cemetery Gates. I'll have to dig out my DVDs of those to watch again soon.
*Divoff excluded, he was great in this
Enjoyable flick, it is available on Blu Ray from Germany, it's uncut and region free, under title 'Zombie Rage', here is link to Amazon if anyone's interested:
