I got a chance to watch it at FrightFest.

Its a very good film that works really well. Although the ending is a bit lackluster, a lot of the ideas were quite original and shockingly intriguing, it also has a very dark and interesting villain. A very good start for Zampaglione.

IFC released a R1 DVD last month.

The film itself was surprisingly good. You think the plot is going to go in a linear direction, and then it takes a couple of 360° turns...all in less than 80 minutes. There's several scenes that were really quite disturbing. I also thought the music score worked superbly well.

There is an interview with the director in the latest Fangoria that is pretty good. He's a big Argento fan and Dario was helpful to him when he was starting out in films.

So, it actually stays pretty linear right? ;)

The Shadow was very good; it was just not worthy of the talent assembled. But simply it was very good.
