I see they're finally posting internationally at least. $10 int'l post for a VHS is pretty good too. I only wish it were that inexpensive for me to post to the rest of the world, and from here, it really is the rest of the world! (Aside from NZ, of course.)
I tried to watch the VHS a couple of days ago but had to shut it off 20min in. Why the hell did they feel the need to digitally add screen flickers? The screen flickers seriously every 10 sec. and its so damn distracting that it makes it impossible to watch. I know they want to give the illusion of "tracking issues" but christ you can't use the tracking to fix these. So pointless.
Has anyone else seen this? The Gremlin Trailer I guess it is an earlier movie from the same director. They have it available as a DV-R through Amazon.
I was thinking about ordering The Gremlin. I was really impressed with both Death Stop Holocaust and The Sleeper.
I saw this today, it's pretty decent, not amazing though. I really liked the music though (excluding the awkward line dance song - man did everyone look uncomfortable during that scene), I'm thinking about grabbing the soundtrack off the site. I hate paying for downloads (prefer an actual copy if I'm paying for something) but it's only $5. Does anyone have a tracklist from the soundtrack? I can't find the track list anywhere, just from Woody Allen's Sleeper, Sleepers and Sleeper Cell. I'd like to see how many tracks are on there before I buy it. Anyone else think The Sleeper (the actual guy) kinda looked like Dr. Giggles? I thought he had a similar face any way.
I ordered the combo pack today - from reading thoughts on this thread Im not sure what to expect - I may feel ripped off or pleasantly surprised <: In any case the vhs copy should look nice next to my house of the devil vhs copy <: My vhs/blu ray combo player still seems to be working pretty well
You'll be disappointed here (at least I was). The box housing the VHS and DVD, is a thin cardboard slip similar to the kind and size used for Media Blasters' "themed" DVD 3-Packs. So its significantly smaller than your standard packaging for a VHS "Big Box".
I agree. I mentioned on another forum that he looked like the love child of Russ Thorn and Dr. Giggles.
Im sure it will still look okay - but that is disappointing considering the cost of the bundle. House of the Devil did it right with the vhs package
All men need whack off material no shame in that. Makes me wonder why some guys even bother having a GF. Especially when your cock gets more pop for it's buck by XXX. Women never screw as good as they do in porn flicks. Usually all guys get is a dead fucking fish flappy tits lying on a bed. So needless to say boys need they're porn to get off. Too bad most men are never hung like the men in XXX flicks.
Ha! Whoops how did that get in there? ...Dobby, keeping it classy as always. Ha! LSOW was actually in this box of movies I bought off this dude. There were a few other pornographic titles, but none of them had clever titles or were in a big box, so I chucked em'. I have no interest in "used" porn...I didn't even want to touch the shit...the idea of owning other dude's "whack off material" creeps me out. :nervous:
I didn't even notice the porn. All I saw was The Prey! Knowing how much that movie goes for on ebay.au I thought "cool". I have a few downloads of that movie, I haven't watched them yet though. All I really want to know is, is it worth $150-200? The box art isn't that special, from memory, but it was a Video Classics release, and they are highly collectible.
I grabbed the Thorn / EMI clamshell VHS on e-bay for about $10 a few years back. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but it is a fun little backwoods slasher. $10 was about right for it, definitely not worth $150 - $200.
