I never got around to buying the old Anchor Bay DVD, so I'm rather looking forward to this one. That coverart looks great.

I almost grabbed that dvd the other day at a used store, but it was just a few bucks too much. Can't say I ever thought about it coming out on BD, guess I need to consider that more carefully now. I did buy Almost Famous Bootleg dvd a couple months ago figuring no BD soon if ever, and now there's the Best Buy BD already. Fuck, I can't even remembeer if I liked that movie, just feel I need to see it again and wanted to see the longer version.

Great film, but I'm pretty happy with the LE. Can't upgrade everything, but I'm impressed with Severin's releases.

I'm hoping they include the Sinister Saga of Making "The Stunt Man" as a feature or give it it's own release later on.

Forgot ever making this post and found the 2-disc dvd at a pawn shop a few weeks ago (#81!). I think the Sinister Saga doc might the best making of/doc I've ever seen, at least as a dvd extra. Not sure if I'll upgrade, but did love the film and the doc (I can actually see watching that doc again, can't say that for many others). New features in HD are tempting though.

I kind of doubt many of the older features are native HD, probably just upconverted. Severin (and many other studios) have done this on Blu-ray releases. BMX Bandits for instance had a Nicole Kidman interview from 1983 which was a simple upconvert to 1080p.

Don't need the BD, but a shout out for a good film.

    Another very positive review: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/49312/stunt-man/

There are a couple of comparison screenshots between the Blu-ray and the old DVD transfer.

I received my disc earlier today from Amazon, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
