It appears you didn't count my votes, ash. There are FOUR votes to add Dracula 1931. But since there isn't anyone else who wants to remove B.S. Dracula I'd like to change my vote to rid the list of April Fool's Day.

    To update:

add: Dracula 1931, Creature From the Black Lagoon
remove: Hills Have Eyes 2005, April Fool's Day

Yeah I noticed that and already adjusted. I did count your vote just missed the last Dracula.

So you want to remove April Fool's Day instead of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

No Problem. Let's keep the changes to a minimum though as I don't feel like going back and re-adjusting. If you see the numbers are off just let me know and I'll recount.

Yeah, no offense to anyone's picks. I think the initial list should be preserved as a snapshot of what individual posters think are the Top 100 Horror Films.

The vote on/vote off is just for fun.

I really think it's the other way around. All the original list showed is which 2 films each of the members who voted think should be in the top 100. Doesn't mean they don't disagree with the other 98. This way we get a better overall picture.

Sure, but the initial list showed a picture of what, given only two votes, a collective of posters would pick as their Top 100. Since votes could not be repeated, posters had to look at what was already chosen and go from there. It was a cool idea, and there a few on there I would not want to watch again, but hey, someone likes them. I think we know what a vote on/vote off list will look like--generally speaking--but the initial list was a fun experiment. As is this.

Workshed has a point. Now with the voting-off scenario, people are gonna slag on movies they find overrated, and deserving films might get bumped. There's a lot of polarizing love-it-or-hate-it films, and the hate-it contingent could bond together to bump them off.

Additionally, people who prefer Euro, Asian, or classic films are going to try to skew the list more towards their particular tastes.

At first, you had 50 people, all equal, no alliances, putting up two movies each. A pretty good sampling of the horror community. Now it's gonna turn into an IMDB-style popularity contest and flame war.

i'm interested in seeing how this works out w/ the vote on, vote off....besides there r obvious titles from what we r seeing from what people r voting off that should have never been on there....either way all polls and lists of this type r opinion based.....so let majority rule!!!!!;)

We can always have two lists. The Original and the Adjusted. You know like New Coke and Coca-Cola Classic. I guess that didn't work out so well the first time:)

Don't even think about taking Ginger Snaps off. Part 2 can go, though.

Off: The Blair Witch Project, Hills Have Eyes '05
On: Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919), The Masque of the Red Death (1964)

Except I don't think it is a good sampling of the horror community. The list would have been quite a bit different had the participants only voted in a different order than they did.

I'm not sure what you mean.

On voting on & off. Like I said in an earlier post I think the list was fine. Its a list of what people here on this board wanted as 2 films that THEY like as a top 100. The whole list itself is not going to please everybody, in fact it will please nobody as "their top 100". So I might stay away from the voting off potion, unless just for fun.

That being said April Fool's Day I would argue to keep. :D IMO its very good and its an innovative film in horror. There's nothing like it. Besides the industry must like dig it because a remake is in the works.(which I'm against, by the way) Why not just do a sequel? And continue the story.
