Such a fucking bitch move on Anchor Bay's part. I jut bought this on Sunday because it had dropped in price to $24.99 down from $50. Since when do studios double-dip on a television series of the first bloody season before the second season even comes out!? Such a kick in the balls, I'm super pissed about this.

    Ugh, Anchor fucking Bay.

Yeah, that's pretty lame. That's gotta be record time for a double-dip though, isn't it?

I only paid $9.99 for the DVD set but this still sucks to reissue so soon in a SE.

Luckily I didn't pick this up yet (Almost did on several occasions) but this is still a dick move on their part and an insult to those who supported them by picking up the first release. Studios are getting worse and worse for this. It's no longer a double dip years later but months later. And if they are going to do that, announce it ahead of time so people know to wait if they want the better edition. And yeah, doing it for TV shows is really bad as they are expensive enough, especially on Blu. I wonder if this will hurt sales of Season 2 as people are going to wait for the double dip.

I was pissed when the doc. "Never Sleep Again" did this so I know how it feels to be ripped off like this! They should at the least be offering a discount or rebate for those that purchased the first release.

Dick move on their part for sure, but I'm not really concerned with this. Besides the B&W pilot (Didn't know there was such a fan demand for this) I'm sure the A/V will be exactly the same. I'll stick with the first BU set that I paid like $14 for.

I agree with Grim, I picked up the first release and I'm perfectly fine with it. I don't need a special B&W presentation.

Shameless. I didn't jump on the first set, though, so maybe I'll consider it. Now if only DirecTV would get AMC in HD. It is 2011 after all.

I emailed them about AMC and TCM and they responded by saying, "We have no plans to add these as HD channels in the future." Its bullshit. Everytime I see a commercial with them touting their HD I yell at the set.

Also, if you already bought the set and want to watch the pilot in B&W, just turn the color off on the t.v.

Much as I've enjoyed this show so far, I see no point in double-dipping. I'm perfectly happy with the Blu-ray set I already have. Looking forward to Season 2.

I'm not double dipping either, but I would have loved to have the commentaries since I'm a sucker for them.

It is a kick in the nuts for people who wanted it as soon as it was released, just to blindside them with a better version without letting them know this would happen. At least David Fincher/Paramount informed consumers that there would be a better version of Zodiac down the track.

I waited, but this set is way too expensive. I'll wait until it drops to $20 (which will probably be this winter when they announce the Definitive Season 1 set).

Season 2 may change my mind down the road, but I don't see anything in the first one worth double dipping for.

Man, I tried to get into the Walking Dead panel today at Comic-Con. Lined up at 9:15 for the 11:00 panel, and wasn't anywhere close to getting in even by 1PM (there was a Big Bang Theory panel after Walking Dead).

But at least I have AMC in HD this year. First season was SD for me.

Same here. I'm also not a fan of alternate packaging like the tin this new version is in.

If anyone is entertaining the thought of picking up the exclusive Best Buy "tin", don't bother. There's nothing "tin" about it. It comes in a cardboard box with some kind of so called paper thin zombie mask that your local drug store would be ashamed to hang in the costume aisle.

I picked this up and your right it's not a tin just a cardboard box. I'm a sucker for these special editions though.
