If you have Netflix, this is on there if you want to see it before you buy it.

Just gave this a watch, and it was a really fun slasher, with a supernatural twist.

It's rare to see a new slasher film with some proper characters in it, as they all had a little backstory.

It kinda reminded me of both Jeepers Creepers and Hatchet at times.
And there was some really nice practical gore FX in there :)

I was thinking about buying that blu-ray from Amazon.de, but there is some dialogue in Japanese, French and Dutch, since some of the tourist spoke in their native language, and there doesn't seem to be any English subs on the disc. Some of the dialogue was explained in English, but there was some important parts that wasn't.

So I might wait for a UK or Scandinavian release instead.

This should help for anyone who is interested in the German disc:

    http://www.mondo-digital.com/windmill.html

Uncut and English subs for the non-English speaking parts.

I wasn't crazy about the supernatural elements, I would have rather it been a straightforward maniac in the woods slasher. Well-made, brutal kills, and perfectly watchable, but not very memorable.

Worth watching. Slasher done right for the most part. A few of the characters were rather unlikeable but enough to ruin the viewing experience. The film is 85 minutes so it never has a chance to really slow down. Some of the violence effects are rather gory and others are done completely off screen. Free on Netflix and certainly worth checking out.

Got my bluray copy today I really liked the movie the kills were brutal. I would love for this to turn into a franchise but I don't think it will be popular enough to do so.

So I finished watching this last night (I fell asleep during my first attempt) and I honestly didn't enjoy it that much. It just felt like a typical, easy to forget horror with not very enjoyable characters. One of the worst character's for me was the Asian dude who seemed very forced with his acting. The part where he was chanting some incantations to himself had me rolling my eyes. The gore was pretty neat but there was far less of it than I was expecting (maybe because Steel76 mentioned similarities to Hatchet which is far gorier).
I also liked the idea that everyone there had a secret they were hiding. Though I did laugh out loud when it's revealed that the main Aussie chick (who I found very annoying) accidently burnt her brother to death when setting her father's caravan on fire. It just seemed so stupid, like why wouldn't you make sure no one else was inside before setting it ablaze, or wait till he's not around, or send him off to play somewhere other than right in front of the damn caravan?! He was the one thing she was trying (very badly) to protect. So unintentionally funny lol.
All in all I was expecting a much better film. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you can see it for free as it did feel cheaper than films like Hatchet and isn't very memorable.

I might have oversold it on the gore :D

I just think some of the kills reminded me of something you would have seen in the Hatchet movies, like that beautiful head stomp :D
