I pretty much disappeared almost half way through the marathon. But in my case my mother got ill and was admitted to the hospital around the 13th or 14th of Oct. So I spent a lot of time there with her. We learned that besides the 2 lung diseases that we knew she had that her lung cancer came back and that she also had breast cancer. Unfortunately on the 21st of Oct. my mother lost her battle. She passed away. So between the hospital visits, her death, the arrangements and the depression I found myself in... a marathon this year really wasn't something I even considered anymore.

I am just now getting back into watching some stuff and hopefully posting more.

I'm very sorry to hear that. For the cancer to come back is something our family fears with our aunt and we've had a few scares. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your mother.

Terrible, man. Sorry to hear that. You never really consider mortality until it looks you right in the face...

Hopefully you're taking some time to grieve. All the best to you, bud.

Thank you everyone... It does get a little easier with each day that passes. But I imagine it will be a bit yet before the grieving is over. At least I take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.
