This got an R2 release that is a pristine anamorphic print. I watched it this weekend and recommend it to Amicus completists. As anthologies go it's somewhere near the bottom of the pile, imo. The stories generally just arn't very well done, their context lost. Still - you get Cushing, Palance, Meredith and others. No extras, but the disc is cheap.

An uncut region 1 is slated for release soon. Not my favorite of the Amicus anthologies, but I've always liked "The Man Who Collected Poe".

Yeah, that's about the best of a very poor bunch. I'll buy any of the Amicus films to be honest, they're kind of like Hammer for me - I must have them all. However, I'd warn those who are not blindly buying Amicus titles - Torture Garden is one of the worst ones, imo.

Does anyone have a complete list of the Amicus Anthologies and their availability? I loved "The house that dripped blood"

I think this is all of them:

Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965)
    Torture Garden (1967)
House That Dripped Blood, The (1970)
    Tales from the Crypt (1972)
    Asylum (1972)
    Vault of Horror, The (1973)
    Tales That Witness Madness (1973)
    From Beyond the Grave (1973)

It seems that the only ones out on R1 are Torture Garden (just came out) and House That Dripped Blood.

The only three you can't get on R2 are:

    Tales from the Crypt (1972)
    Tales That Witness Madness (1973)
    From Beyond the Grave (1973)

Pity there are two GREAT ones there.

You can get "From Beyond the Grave" from Sinister cinema.
It is Widescreen and the transfer is great.

ASYLUM was out in a region 1 version years ago,but that version was full frame. It's out of print, but occasionally shows up on e-bay.Surprisingly,TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS wasn't really an Amicus film,it was made to cash in on their success, however, and features a number of folks who had worked with Amicus.Amicus head Milton Subotsky later produced some other anthologies post Amicus,THE MONSTER CLUB(British),THE UNCANNY(Brit/Canadian co production) and even the American Stephen King omnibus movie CAT'S EYE.MONSTER CLUB is available in region 1 as is CAT'S EYE,the only version of THE UNCANNY I know of is in a region 2 box set with HANDS OF THE RIPPER and THE MONSTER(aka I DON'T WANT TO BE BORN/THE DEVIL WITHIN HER),It's a solid print, but not anamorphic, the other two in that set are.

In addition to what was said here, I believe Dark Sky is releasing a few Amicus films next year. No Tales, though.

EDIT: I think they're the same titles as the old Image ones. Not sure of transfers/extras yet.

It's a bootleg - there are no official releases of this film on DVD.

From Beyond The Grave was released by WB on LaserDisc years ago. Perhaps it will show up on DVD soon...
