Does anyone have the full specs on Shriek Shows release of this? Is this the uncut version?

I have no idea but the $9.95 NTSC Region 0 DVD released by EC Entertainment is UNCUT.

I don't know what is different about the new DVD.

I'd sure hope one difference is a better transfer. I've heard that EC DVD is pretty awful in the A/V department.

I'm wondering if this disc got delayed, Xploited and Diabolik don't have it listed yet, but Diabolik has Images in a Convent up, which came out the same day from SS. DVDEmpire and DDD have also had it back ordered since the day it was released, and Amazon lists it as "special order".

I'd like to order it but I can't seem to find any answers anywhere. By the way, is it just me or does DDD not sell Porno Holocaust or Organ?

The EC DVD is not pretty awful, it's pretty good just not great. However please note that this was a "made for TV" movie, and it looks it. So it looks as good as a old TV Show on TV rather than a new movie.

I don't think it is delayed as much as it is just Shriek Show being slow...I cannot recall a single SS release that was actually in stock on its so called 'street date' they always seem to be available a week or two later though.

Other than their Zombi 2 which had to square off with BU's release on the same day, I think you may be on to something here.

So since Touch Of Death was filmed for tv then full screen should be the OAR right?

DDD just made Touch Of Death a preorder again for 07/27/05.

Oh and thanks for the info Chris. Sucks that SS didn't meet the street date for this one.

Exactly. SS swore up and down that they were working from the original negatives. SS never cease to amaze me.

True, they have done some great work on occasion, but most of their product speaks for itself, and that is not always a good thing.

Being a preorder again does DDD usually honor a discounted item if its ordered at the time of the discount or will they have you reorder the item at regular price?
Where did you see this? I couldn't find it anywhere on the site.

I imagine if the new release date holds true, and they keep the title listed then they'll honour the discount (I don't think their system would be sophisticated enough to notice the change and start cancelling partial orders because of it). However, if the release keeps getting delayed and eventually drops off the site (like Lizard In A Woman's Skin did a long time ago), then they'll cancel it (quite possibly with no explanation to the poor customers).
