All of 88 Film's Blu-ray releases have been thus far.
They should do away with regions!!!!
Here's the link to buy the japanese release of this movie. It came out 09/03/2013 as stated by original poster of this thread. According to CDJapan it's remastered but have found no reviews with screenshots yet:
No Jap blu's for me - waiting for the brit import. Funny how foreigners are coming out with better versions of our own movies.
I like the movie, but there's no way I'd pay $50+ when cheaper versions are just around the corner. :eek1:
CDJapan are great to order from though...
US Release now up for Pre-Order: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FPM1BME/ref=ox_ya_os_product
BluRay.com is reporting a 12/3/13 release date.
Thanks!! I wonder about the video quality of that release... Anyone knows which company might have made it?
99.9% chance it's from Full Moon. I'd probably wait for the 88 Films UK release that will be Region Free and will inevitably have better audio and video encoding.
Yup, I'm waiting on the 88 Films release. Their releases always trump Full Moon's domestic releases in quality. I'm sure it won't be out from them until early 2014, but I've happily waited on their previous releases before too.
I'll be getting both versions. Can't wait to see this movie in high-def - I hope they do actually have a new remaster. Even though the PQ on the DVD was good, it looked too bright.
88 Films UK Preorder is up for February 17, 2014: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00G4G7M28/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Easily the creepiest movie I have ever seen I must have this!
Anyone have a street date for the US release of Tourist Trap? I came up empty while searching on Amazon. hope it hasn't been pushed back.
Which company is releasing this one in the US?
Full Moon are releasing it themselves in the US.
So for what I've read from most of you, it's surely a shitty badly-mastered release and all that stuff, no? I-better-stick-with-the-european-disc release, no? Be sincere. Specially, when I already pre-ordered that one from the other side of the Atlantic Sea!
I doubt it's a shitty release. It's just that 88 Films' releases are generally superior to what Full Moon releases themselves here in the US.
The US Blu-rays from Full Moon never have lossless audio for instance, where the 88 Films' releases always do, etc...
But if you had to buy one, would you choose the UK one? Or not? Or both?
